  1. Some storms mothers are better than other storms mothers
  2. Yeah 2003, 2010 and 2019 were great weather wise. So much better when it is sunny.
  3. There can be really good people on at the greenpeace stage. In 2009 I saw Laura marling and (pre first album) Mumford and sons. Neither of them were on the poster and Laura marling wasn't on any other stages.
  4. Just reorganised my travel arrangements from Thursday to Wednesday. I guess the upside is I will have longer on the farm. The downside is that I have to take another day holiday and my wife will be looking after the kids for an extra day on her own.
  5. Mine arrived this morning 😀
  6. Wow that is cool. Glad you enjoyed the gig. Yeah I'm a massive radiohead fan so if they are at latitude I will be there. So back to the hyperthetical question of whether radiohead could headline latitude. Obviously a lot would depend on whether they get back together and do another album/ tour. I've seen them 7 times over the years. In some respects they kinda just do what they like, I've seen them at reading and v festival as well as glasto 3 times the Oxford South Park gig and an arena gig in Cardiff. I get the sense that another glasto would be a long way off, they aren't a reading sort of band anymore (although they could), so you are left with all points east, british summertime, or latitude all of which are possible... or they do their own thing, which they have done several times before. I reckon they would go down well. I know the crowd has changed at latitude from the days of Anthony and the Johnstons and sigur ros but they still have slightly left of centre acts.
  7. Yeah, there are different flavours of "indie music" from every year since punk really. It's a bit of a catch all covering loads.
  8. Yeah totally agree, there is loads of indie across the festival. Sounds like they are trolling or aren't keeping up. The cream of the Bbritish Post punk bands are playing with dry cleaning, yard act, wet leg, fontaines dc, idles, black midi, squid Loads of bigger more mainstream indie rock with Foals, Wolf Alice, Sam fender, inhaler, blossoms. Some of the older guard supergrass, the libertines, primal scream, the Jesus and Mary chain, elbow and noel. And several american indie big hitters like phoebe bridgers, mitski, big thief. There is a massive amount of indie there this year.
  9. Thursday evening Williams Green. Friday 21:00 - 22:30 wow Sunday 01:30 - 02:30 wow Sunday 18:15 - 19:15 The Park Sunday 00:10 - 01:15 the glade Friday late night in the rabbit hole There's probably more
  10. Yeah that clash is so annoying 😞
  11. Yes I take this as, they have no idea about the full lineup.
  12. I said to myself I wouldn't be on here at 10 because there was no point... and yet here I am
  13. I've got loads of work to do tomorrow and calls all day, I'm hoping for an early lineup drop so I don't have to keep checking back here every 2 minutes. I reckon 10am.
  14. Johnny Marr if she adds time to die to the setlist for glasto.
  15. I agree if Killers can headline latitude the year before headlining Glastonbury then Latitude could get Radiohead one day... I would love to see Gorillaz at latitude, I think they would go down well.
  16. Yeah would have been a good Williams Green band
  17. They played WG on Thursday in 2017. It wasn't announced beforehand but rumoured on here so we pretty much knew it would be the them. They also played WG in 2015 which is what this thread is all about. They played twice once in the other stage and once at WG. Williams Green is a small stage, it is if surely focused on indie music. On Thursday nights they have a couple of bands play who aren't announced, usually bigger than "should" be playing that venue. It gets really busy for those slots as it usually leaks before hand on here and so if you want to be in the tent go early before the first band.
  18. I think that Gorrilaz are definitely a band who could play Latitude at some point, they seem the right size and style. I also don't think it is beyond the realms of possibility that Radiohead would play Latitude one day... but who knows.
  19. I saw them in Norwich in April and they were fantastic as always. Such a good band and the new album is fab. would love to see them on the farm again soon. I'm holding out an outside hope they could be there this year, if not then surely a shoe in for next year.
  20. My boys are now 8 and 10. Every year we think about taking them but we just don't think they have the physical stamina for it yet. We have taken them to latitude a few times and they can get quite annoying when they are tired. You definitely have to be prepared to work your plans around what they want to do... but then that is life with kids.
  21. Ahh okay, I watched half a song from the other far away bridge so couldn't really see. If it was the same set up as the tour then there would have been a few people on stage because he had several backing singers as well.
