Was 2009/10 ish it started getting silly with the arriving early. I bumped into someone I know on Saturday down my local who always goes to the festival, were chatting about it and she said to me always leaves early sunday evening/post headliners if something big she wants to see.....but is always there early as anything tues night. There seems more of an emphasis on arriving as early as possible now, but then people run out of steam by Sunday and can't see it through.

My first one! it also lashed it down Sunday early evening! managed to pitch up Weds early evening in Top Webbs Ash - no chance of doing that these days! 😄

2017 I was at Arcadia after Radiohead on the Friday night and it rained for about an hour or so I think.

We were in Hawkwell in 2013 right at the top next to the fence, it wasn't good. You're on quite a slope, which makes it a pain for near enough anything, sitting in chairs, trying to do basic things at camp, you can't get a communal area going and then we had a lot of people sitting in our camp for The Rolling Stones who couldn't get into the Pyramid Field. If you're further down the hill its fine!

Arriving back in Oxford city centre on a see tickets coach desperately trying to avoid any of my colleagues walking into the office. 😄

I sort of did the same but a few years later 1999-2003. Finally went in 2004 and haven’t missed one since. Still regret missing those pre-super fence ones!

Spot on. Seems to me this thread is a load of people flapping with graphs and 'runs' when they have no real clue about what they're talking about! And yes, there's been no 'rollercoaster' either!

Either they've put things in the wrong place or they have changed their mind about how much space they need....surely the field I usually camp in won't be used for the crowd when Arcadia fires up?

Can anyone else work out what is going on with the Arcadia crew location? I thought I had lost my usual camping spot 'behind the park' to it this year, but the webcam is showing its all in the same position as last year.... 😕

Currently 1 stone (6.3kg) down from what I was in mid-February.....got derailed with gout a few weeks ago but now back to sweating in the gym.......hopefully get 1/2 stone off before I get married in mid-August!

The Arcadia spider looks incredibly close to the Arcadia crew set up.......is something going to be moved?

I had to buy it on DVD on ebay last year (for £2!) when I couldn't find it online anywhere either.

Yes...I see what you mean now....unless they have something else planned for it might be worth keeping an eye on the webcam or just walking there next Weds AM to see if you can get camped in there? Or wonder if they will move it earlier next week to the yellow area?

We 'moved' there in 2014 after a decade near the Pyramid....always got in but alas no more....it got smaller in 2019 I think when the Arcadia crew took some of it IIRC now its fully gone. Sorry just a bit confused with what you're saying....are you looking at the webcam and thinking they haven't used it all up? I thought the bit of 'backstage' that's usually next to the Spider on otherside of the pathway was to be moved where we both usually camp............

I try to delay that part as long as possible as one year I got a bit excited and had to go and see 'the man' again the night before we left for the festival. 🙄

We usually camp 'behind the park' and its my understanding that we've now lost that to Arcadia crew so they can make the area where the spider is bigger.
