  1. it's back in the main catch up version now too. 🙂
  2. I've watched it twice since I came home, and have a DL of it too, unless it's been added back today, then it's not there, it cuts straight from Clara to Delilah... Marea should have been between the two. Gonna go check if it's now back, if it is I need a new download haha. (It was left in the live stream, obviously) EDIT: It sure is there, thanks for pointing this out... Don't suppose anybody can grab a new copy of the set from Iplayer as it is today and share a link? 🙂
  3. Choosing AM on Friday night is probably up there... Getting too much sun on Thursday and Friday making me feel ill (I ploughed on though)
  4. 48:26 it should be... But they cut it!!! Guessing it's 'something' to do with the on shoulders thing. 🤷‍♂️ Shame as it was a proper 'moment!'
  5. This... Only time I paid for a drink at a bar was on 2 rounds at the Brothers Bar. Food prices were fine, exactly as expected... Cost of food ingredients, cooking oil and fuel has gone up so much I'm happy with anything between £10 and £15 for a decent enough meal. Apart from one stall, the Bratwurst stall near Car Henge. My fussy eater of a son had taken a liking to it (he always has currywurst in Germany, and theirs were pretty damn similar) It wasn't until the last night that I realised his large Currywurst was costing me £18, after I'd already ordered, for the 3rd time in 5 days!!! £18 for two bratwursts chopped up and covered in curry ketchup with a sprinkle of curry powder... £18!!!!! The woman could see my shock when I asked how much, to which she said "it is around 2000 calories" 2000 Kcal!!! for 2 sausages and some sauce? Give me a break! £18 for sausage and sauce, £18 Anyway, I've ranted enough, thanks for letting me get that off my plate They were damn accurate and pretty nice though. 🙈😂
  6. Dosa Deli was one of my favourites last year, and the first place I headed this year. It was still great, but the dosa itself was not actually as nice as last year, couldn't put my finger on why, still good, but not as perfect as they can do... The Bhaji though, just as incredible as ever, by far the greatest Bhaji I've ever tasted. Shame you got a burnt one, as they really are special, but I guess that can happen any time with home made food.

    Guns n Roses

I enjoyed G&R, the main thing that makes them such a pleasure to watch is Slash IMO, that man's guitar playing just does things to me. 🙈😂 I mean obviously I enjoyed the 5 big hits they played, Welcome to the jungle, Knocking on heaven's door, Live or let die, Paradise city, and Sweet Child... But Axl's voice doesn't seem it's best. It didn't really matter though, after Friday night, I just needed the energy that they bring to the table. Wasn't a top 5 set of the weekend, but it was solid enough, and certainly better than Arctics, by a long way.

    Fireworks

All fireworks are smoky… The problem was the lack of wind. I’ve seen it happen before at huge fireworks displays like Alton Towers and it’s a shame when it does.
  9. We said the same, much cleaner than last year, I'm either getting used to the smell, or it wasn't as bad and I didn't queue once!!! But then we didn't do Silver Hayes from Saturdays onwards.

    COVID

Yeh, just a misunderstanding I think, no worries. 👍

    COVID

You literally quoted me and used the phrase "but I guess now most old people are vaccinated...so f**k it." What am I supposed to make of that? My original point wasn't about whether covid was worse than a cold, or even whether flu is worse than a cold, it obviously is... My point was that, before Covid, I'd have gone near anybody with a cold without too much worry, I'd have gone to work, to my grans, wherever. But covid has taught me, hopefully taught 'us,' that we need to be more considerate and look after each other. I had no idea before Covid that so many at risk groups existed, for whom, a simple chest infection is life and death. And therefore, due to this new attitude towards spreading minor illnesses, testing is pointless for me, as I won't be going near anybody if I'm ill anyway. I'm sure I'm not the only 'Mr self righteous' here who doesn't want to make somebody else seriously ill. I also pointed out that I get why some others would rather know, so if they wanted to test, I don't see the harm in it.
  12. Didn't see the screen announcement, was stood up talking between sets, but had a small chair. As soon as I heard the audio announcement I knew things were 'iffy' and it needed to go away. Not new to festival etiquette, the chairs were going to go away before the start of Elton anyway, we'd already discussed this as a group. But the time in which the situation went from plenty of space to 'iffy' did catch me off guard a bit, and the announcement was a nice reminder / nudge.

    COVID

Yeh, if that's what you read in my post "f**k it" and that's what you took away... Then there's no point in continuing this discussion. You do you, keep spreading your cold germs, hopefully it doesn't lead to somebody with lung disease or something else getting a chest infection and dying... 🤞

    COVID

Surely everyone here would avoid vulnerable people whether it was covid, flu or just a cold? Even a common cold can lead to a chest infection and serious implications for vulnerable people. No need to argue about it, whether you test or not doesn't really make a difference, as long as you do the right thing and avoid vulnerable folk either way. I guess for some people it's just nice to know if you've got covid or not, given how terrified we've all been over the last few years. I won't test any more, I don't want to know, but this whole pandemic has opened my eyes to the need to protect others, even if you 'only have a cold.'
  15. Obviously I went for more restrictions in the circle / pit... But absolutely do not ban them outright... There's just something magical about looking back from the circle and seeing scenes like this...
  16. No pun intended? Sensible comment though. 👍

    COVID

Never, it's just another circulating virus now...
  18. They do use an absolute sh*t load of Mustard… We had the one near the Acoustic tent which was making their batches extremely mustardy… The one down in the main market less so, but could still taste a lot of mustard. One of the things that makes it for me, but then I do like mustard.
  19. Which crumble did you choose? I normally just have classic or chocolate and never had any that's too dry. Mind you, they are cooking the stuff all day, so maybe a bad batch? Or a quiet spell before?
  20. Best - Crumble shack of course... Worst - The toastie place on the last stretch before gate C. Think it mentioned flat iron in the name or something. Hovis bread and Bookers cheap cheese slices... Really? Had a bad Mac and Cheese experience last year, which after hearing friends rave about the Mac at Glastonbury kind of put me off Mac and Cheese. But this year I found Annie Mae's... And I'm in love. (No idea how I missed 'all' of their stalls last year, think we just went to the first stall we found between san remo and Pyramid, and it was shite, so never bothered again.)
  21. Absolutely incredible!!! Fred was great, but the crowd, you f**kers take a bow!!! Easily one of the best sets I’ve been to. If you were stood anywhere near me (photo below) thank you for making it so special… Each and every person around me was up for it in a way I rarely ever witness!!!
  22. Did the same, said hello to CF, Neil and a few others, but was with my family, a few hours behind in terms of drinking, and felt a bit awkward, so went back over towards the cafe.
  23. I dunno what will happen, but I’d like to change my vote with the 3rd option anyway, and not sure I can change my vote after, without it resetting. If they do disappear folks can just re vote or change their vote, it’s not really an issue in a little online straw poll.
  24. I agree any way of resetting the poll and adding this option @maelzoid I think that both the flag hater and flag lover camps would be willing to compromise. 🙂
  25. I chose no, I love them, and across the big fields the more flags, nicely spaced out, the better. But they should be banned from the pits at stages that have separate ‘manageable’ pits. The dense mass of them right at the front must ruin the experience for anybody towards the front and centre.
