  1. Tbh there isn't an answer to this question, not a proper one anyway. The beauty of Glastonbury is that two groups of people can have entirely different festival experiences, exploring and discovering different things. Wanna do a 5k run, sit in a naked sauna, do a nature trek, carve stone figures, do laughter yoga and never watch a live act all weekend you absolutely can, and you won't be bored.
  2. If you want to fight misogyny in the music industry this is not where you start. Admit you made a mistake rather then doubling down on an obscure, irrelevant theory.

    Eurovision 2022

The expectation is when the country they wins can't host then one of the big five countries they pay the most to the competition step in to help host. (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain). Similarly Australia aren't allowed to host if they win as it's too far away.
  4. Banks are starting to charge cash handling fees for certain business accounts. There's also the costs involved of going to the bank, presumably everyday, during the festival. Card takes that hassle away for you.
  5. I know, it was a joke. I've just never really properly listened to them.

It's fine, you can already hear when they'll put the pyrotechnics in the staging. If he sings it adequately, has decent staging and at least half an attempt of a tour he should get points. Problem is it's a competition and you have to get into someone's top 10 songs to actually get points. If other countries have entered something similar enough that gets into the final there's a high chance it won't be in anyone's top 10.

    Entry toilets

If the queue isn't moving I don't see the issue, that's what they're there for?
  8. I think the headliners are more to their crowd though, they got a lot of negative push back in them last year. Particularly Mahalia/Loyle Corner and Bicep/Jamie xx. Years & years is a huge act, Underworld hopefully has more then the one song but should appease the parents and Jungle are huge (relatively).
  9. And still Glastonbury places available in priority!
  10. I find card makes it much easier to track what I'm spending then cash. No trying to count shrapnel, misplaced notes and it's really easy to track what you've spent and what you've got left. Also far far easier to split rounds amongst mates, you can split money instantly and not have to total it up at the end. Also if you lose it you can instantly freeze your card so don't lose any money.
  11. The only reason it's a good opportunity to make a political point is because they know it'll be on TV. If the cameras weren't there there'd be significantly less political flags.
  12. It was fine, my memory is hazy but we definitely got there for the start of prospa and were able to get in.
  13. https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca61PqDKY8V/? Pretty decent mix that is.
  14. Yeah, it was pretty boring tbh.
  15. I accidentally found myself here once, just followed the crowd after an other stage set, it was only after I'd gone past security that I realised it was a bit odd they'd asked us to hold our wristbands up.
  16. So what you're saying is the new lineup policy moves them to a strong rumour....
  17. It's a balance between buy cheap and have it break before you get your wristband. Or spend more and have it last, maybe.
  18. The only time we've done it was right at the very back (in line with the tree) in 2019, we got there before years & years at about 1:30 but by the time Kylie started at 3:45 it was noticeably busier so we rolled them up and stood up. There were others around us who didn't and they were no doubt dickheads. We were probably those dickheads to someone else before we realised how busy it had become.
  19. I honestly don't understand why people are so short sighted, you've closed off a really good backup way into Glastonbury for the sake of missing one headliner. I took that to mean that those specific people won't have a shift again.
  20. I actually think the worst thing I've seen at the front of the pyramid was a barefoot hippie shouting at everyone walking past not to step on his toes. Just wish he put some bloody shoes on.
  21. Tbf though a 6m flag pole is probably almost the exact right height to block the screens for the people at the back of you're in the front.

For the tickets that are actually available am I right in thinking it's worked out like the below. Total: 135,000 -20,000 Coach tickets -xxx Local area full weekend tickets -xxx Locals Sunday tickets - xxx Pilton resident's tickets (could these be in the crew allocation as they're free?) -xxx allocation for children under 13 (they don't know how many will actually turn up until the day so they'll have to allocate a proportion of the capacity to them, do these come out of general sale or "crew" allocation?) = General sale tickets available 90,000 (ish). Putting that all down I'm amazed anyone actually managed to get tickets. 🤣
  23. May as well add them as rumoured, why not. Arctangent is the week afterwards, anyone on that lineup that might cross over? https://arctangent.co.uk/line-up/
  24. We made a very active choice not to be anywhere lose to a camera for the chemical brothers in 2019.
  25. I think the legends slot can get away with it a bit more, they're Sunday tea time everyone knows they're usually a little bit over the hill (Kylie and Dolly excluded) but it's day 5 and we're just happy to have made it through and listen to some retro music.
