  1. Fortunately, it all worked out! It was the same situation, but this time the seller just suggested we meet up and go in to the gig together. They were great seats, too. Much better than the one I bought in January. But most importantly - the show was brilliant. So glad to know that I'll be seeing Sam Fender again on the farm in June (absolute clash beater, nothing will stop me) and then again in July. Gonna be a great summer. The Dying Light had long been my favourite from the second album, and that was definitely my top track of the show. Only gutted he didn't do Paradigms or Leave Fast, which he had the night before. Hopefully I'll get to see them both over the next two sightings.
  2. Really hoping I'll be seeing Sam Fender tomorrow, having secured a ticket via Twickets for the second time. Sadly, I'm not holding a great deal of confidence. First got a ticket back in January - turned out the seller had listed just 1 for sale, despite 3 being in their original order. When it became apparent this isn't possible via Twickets system, the sale was void and I got my money back (weeks later, and after a lot of back and forth with Twickets). Last night I finally got through to buy another single ticket - must have been the 20th notification I've had for it in the last three weeks, and the first time I've gotten to the button before "these tickets are being purchased by someone else". It's a mobile ticket transfer, so should be able to be pretty instantaneous, but still nothing from my seller. I have a horrible feeling the same thing has happened again as it did in January 😔 only this time, don't have time for the back and forth.
  3. As a Zeppelin obsessed Foo Fighters fan at the tender age of 17 when I attended that gig.. genuinely had never experienced a greater thrill. Didn't come down from that high for weeks. And Ramble On, which followed this, was my absolute favourite Zeppelin tune at that time (it's still up there). It's been a long time since I (heh) watched that and it is DEEPLY UPSETTING to realise that this was almost 14 years ago 😨
  4. Unfortunately train fares over here have just gone through the roof (I say "just" - I've only recently been looking for any myself for the first time since the pandemic). Cheapest fares I can find from Liverpool to London are £53 - most of them are about £90. It's an intense climb on what it was a few years ago (£35 return typically).
  5. Yeah I like to take cash, also from the budgeting perspective. Will have a card with me too, but I just find it helpful/reassuring to be able to see how much I'm working with as the days progress, without having to log on to my banking app. If cash is still an option this year, I'll be doing that again (and using the lock-ups, of course).
  6. I saw them at Green Man last year and thought they were fab, but I had listened to all their stuff on Spotify and had already become a fan. They will be an absolute must see for me if they're on the farm - loving their latest EP as much as their last.
  7. When I saw Neil Young at Hyde Park - bought out Macca. When I saw Bruce at Hyde Park - bought out Macca (... I'm open to the idea that Macca just camps out at Hyde Park waiting for a chance to appear). The man loves taking up a guest slot, so I've no doubt he'll return the favour with someone special.
  8. Yeah I saw them headline Green Man last year. They're not really my bag tbh, but I thought it was a good set. A few in our group I'll be at Glasto with love them though, so as the categories suggest, I'll be happy to see them again if there's nowt else on 🙂 although are they anticipated to be getting a headline slot (I can't keep up!)? Cause if so I can imagine I'll be busy elsewhere!
  9. 1) Macca, Kendrick, Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Kacey Musgraves, Di Ro, Mitski, beabadoobee 2) Wolf Alice, Crowded House, Rufus Wainwright, Self Esteem, Wet Leg, Little Simz, Phoebe Bridgers 3) Billie Eilish, First Aid Kit, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, TLC, Pet Shop Boys, St. Vincent, Haim, Bicep, Inhaler, Noel Gallagher 4) Caribou, Charli XCX, Fontaines DC, Lorde, Sigrid, Courtney Barnett *All placings subject to change in the coming months
  10. Yeah I'm holding out hope for NewDad 🤞🏻
  11. Have had a long time to reconcile both of these, but the loss of Taylor and Lana is never going to not sting. In so many other ways the lineup is a improvement, and I've developed an appreciation for lots of acts in the intervening years that I hadn't initially been psyched for... But still.. I know Taylor will appear again at some point but Lana I'm less certain. At least I have the memories of that amazing February 13th 2020 when she was announced.
  12. All paid up, email confimation received, bank account lighter.. and it's SUNNY! WHat a great day.
  13. You stole my response! Thief!
  14. I've barely slept. My kitchen refurb has just started and within half an hour was revealed that the whole thing needs rewiring. I did not have breakfast. Feeling a bit delerious.. but this positive spin this morning has put a smile on my face.
  15. May not have been any new material, but Kendrick's blowing the rest of the gang out of the water.
  16. I'm going to try and stay up for it, but had no annual leave left to take so have to be at work bright and early. I was designated a Patriots fan by my best friend/roommate when I moved to the University of Rhode Island. The season I was there was a Giants/Pats super bowl (XLVI), and that was super fun in the weeks leading up to it as the majority of students were fans of one or the other and the whole campus was obsessed in the build-up.. less fun after the game.
  17. You know what I did before? I didn't click the link 😬 problem solved! And yes, you're correct - @March Harereally is just that selfless of a guy. Volunteer and lead booker for us hopeless folks trying for tickets.
  18. Have tried @March Hare's postcode too 👀 - nada.
  19. Hadn't tried that page specifically, but same result in a roundabout way - all I get on that email are my registration details, nothing about bookings.
  20. 🤷‍♀️ whatever I'm trying, I'm getting "not recognised". Just checked my registered address though so at least I know that's right, and the last email I got from Glasto was the one in September to say my deposit has been rolled over. Will just wait and hope all is well come March 1st!
  21. Can you only use this if you are the lead booker? Because.. i'm getting nothing 😨
  22. Have reiterated my annual leave booking ... asked for it in an email when I first got the job, but don't want to be taking any chances.
  23. Been moping about the apparent Macca absence, but the reminder that this potentially frees me up to see Dua - wherever she is - has put a smile right back on my face.
  24. Macca being apparently out is a kick in the groin that I was not expecting, and am really really pained by. Losing Taylor and him... gutted.
