  1. The "theory" I've seen said is that if she does one of these every night, the 13th track will be named on October 3rd (10/3 - classic Tay) and that will be the lead single, either dropping that day or announced that it will drop four days later on the Friday. I'd be okay with this - though I am impatient to hear it!
  2. We pretty much know what the announcement is going to say and when the sale is going to be. If it means some people aren't as on the ball about it, then that's fine by me 🤷‍♀️
  3. We're trying to co-ordinate a family trip to see Voyage, nominally as a birthday gift for my Dad but really a lot of us are very into it. Love hearing all the great reviews. Just think it will be a fantastic experience.
  4. In Every Dream Home a Heartache seeping over the Pyramid field on a sunny Sunday afternoon? It's a change of pace, and I am HERE FOR IT.
  5. ?? It's from 3 years ago. Hardly think Taylor needs to be up to speed on every inconsequential face who approaches her for a selfie at such events.. I just looked back on Truss' Instagram to find it (my algorithm will make me pay for that) and I am vastly more offended by the heinous frock she was wearing a few days later..
  6. I still wasn't entirely sure I was going to buy tickets or not when I checked Ticketmaster at 10am, and yet five minutes later I'm £200 lighter and tickets are in the bag. I know exactly what I've signed up for but it's going to be the last time I see him and will be a rare gig that I get to share with my fiancé, so I'm looking forward to it 🙂
  7. It's been removed from MTV's YouTube channel for now but apparently will be posted again next week.
  8. This was news to me.. I've seen him once before but it was in an outdoor festival setting. As already noted, the songs were unrecognisable from their original form. And yet.. I'm quite tempted by the prospect of seeing him in a smaller venue..
  9. I'm still of the opinion that the best opener for her Glasto set is 'Holy Ground', though I know the likeihood is infinitesimal.
  10. My legs already feel like jelly at the prospect of ticket day 😣😣 I'd never been more excited by a headliner announcement than when we got Taylor for 2020, or more gutted when she didn't come back for '22 (genuinely, couldn't listen to her for a few months). This is all too exciting/anxiety provoking.
  11. Massive congrats! It was almost exactly this time last year that I was pondering my own career move, and I recall you offering your own thoughts and advice and it was really appreciated 🙂 I'm so glad you've made it out of your own rut! It is an amazing feel and I hope you enjoy every second of this buzzed feeling, and everything your new role will have to offer.
  12. Based on this single, this is the most excited I've been about an Arctic Monkeys release since their debut. Can't wait to hear the album and hope there's more like this beauty on it.
  13. This is very welcome news to wake up to. Will be making sure to clear my diary on release day.
  14. My parents were at Wembley on Wednesday night. It is years - maybe decades - since they took a trip specifically to London to see a band (normally go to Cardiff or Manchester as we have family there) but it was specifically on my Mum's bucket list to see Coldplay, as she and my Dad have always enjoyed them but never seen them. They had a fantastic time, and loved every second. I knew my Mum's favourite moment would be 'A Sky Full if Stars' and it filled me with glee to think about what a spectacle that moment would be and how happy she would be with it. I love that song too and it was my highlight of their 2016 set, which I also enjoyed thoroughly and has been the only time I've seen them so far. So, to sum up - no hate here. But then, I also love U2, so I get how it is to have people judge you for lack of taste. One thing I will say though, and I was discussing this with my parents last night, is that I genuinely believe Chris Martin is a thoroughly nice guy. He doesn't bring that same "eugh" factor that Bono can. Even if we give Chris a hard time for showing up all over the place (at times) I never doubt that it is entirely motivated just by sheer glee at performing, and that is quite endearing (even if it can be a bit annoying for those in the audience who are bored by him). And then he showed some real self-awareness in picking up on the vibes after Glasto 2019. I don't know - he could just be one hell of an actor, but he's successfully fooled me this far.
  15. Absolutely loved the BCS finale and so gutted it is now over. I can't think of any show I have looked forward to returning so much each season. I've missed it during breaks and I've relished it every time it returns. I never really loved Breaking Bad. I do and have loved Better Call Saul, and I am going to miss it terribly. (Also, now am going to start a BB rewatch because I'm deep in this universe again - who knows, I might enjoy it more on a second go around).
  16. The three episodes are "Trainwreck", on Netflix (which inspired this thread). There is a different documentary on Sky that was by HBO/for the Music Box series "Woodstock '99: Peace, Love and Rage" which is a one-off 2 hour doc.
  17. I've used Fanticks to sell my ticket to a someone, and now having received the e-ticket can send it over. Just concerned re. the Ts&C's about the tickets not being allowed to be re-sold - I've checked the Green Man website and it doesn't say anything about needing to bring ID to get in, but can someone reassure me this is the case/isn't going to be a problem?
  18. It's very much not limited to festival culture either. Go out any Saturday night in a popular stag do (bachelor party) location and you will see countless grooms-to-be trussed up in a comically small dress. It's all just for a bit of a laugh, basically 🙂 Although what I hear from those I know who've done it echoes the comments above that the lads enjoy the freedom of a skirt for a change!
  19. Thanks for that link! Tickets for family all sorted. Seats right at the back but better for our circumstances, and pockets. Fortunately I nabbed standing for Dublin so can appreciate that all the more a month before!

Yeah, last night was great. Fontaines excellent and then just a really good time with Sam. We were really quite near the back but the vibe was just lovely - everyone having a dance and getting into it even back there. A very cute kid who was clearly a big fan already did implore Sam to "stop swearing" a few times though 😂
  21. I don't know if the BST tickets will be the same, but for the Dublin tickets I got via Ticketmaster, it seemed that the earlier you went to the page and got in the waiting room prior to 9am, the further forward you were in the queue (at least from my small sample of other ticket-buying-attempting friends). Don't know if that really is the case, but I got very lucky with 34k ahead of me (didn't get them for the first date I tried for, but got them for an alternate day).
  22. What will be the max. ticets available to purchase in one go (for Villa Park)? Trying to organise for seemingly whole close and extended family 🤦‍♀️ Edit: Nevermind - It's 6, as per. Gawd this is going to be a ballache.

Me! Brother got tickets and gifted me one of them for Christmas. It's years since I've been to a gig with him so very much looking forward to it. Cheapest train I could get puts me in London at 9am 😅 so I have a whole day to look forward to, trying to find shelter and hydration.
  24. Yeah, the most common model is the Instax mini (now I wonder if there even are full size ones?). About 2x4inches.
  25. I took my Instax camera with me (notably, you should NOT shake them like a Polaroid..) but waaay more film than I ended up using. A few days in I started just snapping nice moments that I noticed and giving the pics to those involved - it felt really nice to be able to do that, and folks seemed really grateful 🙂 At Pet Shop Boys a group of girls were having dramas with their disposable camera and seemed unsure they'd got the shot they wanted, so I offered an Instax and they seemed to appreciate it! Luckily one of them was in the know and instructed her friend "Do NOT shake it!"
