  1. Just got seemingly very in securing a Jai Paul record so getting ridiculously excited for his first live set, looks like it's going to be an early wake up on Monday morning for that!
  2. Been a long time! Feel like I've seen the 1975 far too many times the last few years so thinking of splitting between them, nx worries and the prodigy. Feel like Little Simz, Fred again... and peggy gou are my main draws for the other day.
  3. Echoing the others here in that it'll be my first time in a while making no appearance at all. Glasto, Parklife and connect festival are all booked and I'll likely make an appearance at Latitude along with a couple of others but R&L really not hitting the mark for me at all this year.
  4. So surprised by this Fall Out Boy album. Was fully expecting to give it one spin and cast it aside but this is certainly staying in my rotation. Feels like all the creativity that was in Follie added with the musicianship they've developed since. Was expecting nothing at all after the utter disappointment that was mania
  5. Been on here for about 4 and a half years but this year will be my first Glasto despite trying for many years! Hoping to engage in the excitement a bit more this year as I can really get involved
  6. Two for London here as well! I thought I didn't stand a chance as soon as I got a captcha but seems I was very lucky. Glad it's only a week away as I'm already over excited
  7. I think it may just be the slight mish mash, or at least to me that's the case. First lineup was really not my thing and they've now added a handful of acts that I would very much like to see, but not really enough to justify the ticket price. Of course that's a completely personal opinion though, if it's a great lineup for someone else that's good news!
  8. I might be completely wrong here but I think Another Love has had yet another spell in the charts thanks to TikTok which could warrant a higher slot if the festival was this coming weekend. Come August I'm sure his positioning will look just about right once the short lived trend has died down again.
  9. Some really good additions in there like the murder capital, english teacher, scowl, knocked loose, high vis, sleep token to name a few but it's just such a bewildering lineup for the demographic; can see almost all those bands playing to incredibly small crowds. There's really not enough to justify the ticket price to me though, maybe will think about picking up a cheap day ticket if possible but that's about it.
  10. Was 400th in the queue and yet didn't manage to get tickets. They clearly massively oversold in pre sale which I really never understand, swear it always used to just be a fairly small percentage rather than almost the whole allocation of shows!
  11. Wasn't aware he had played wireless so went to check the setlist out, I'm sure this in particular was a treat
  12. As much as I find it awful as a social media, twitter is perfect for this imo. Following bands I like/ venues I go to fairly often is a really good way to be in the know fairly early on
  13. Just had an email to say that my Ice Nine Kills date (10th March) has been pushed to the 1st June although it doesn't seem to have been announced on socials yet. May be way off the mark but can only assume they've signed on for a few EU festival dates possibly including Download so pushing pack their tour to align with them.
  14. Yeah I didn't think their Reading crowd was small by any means, just not the side i'd instantly want to bump them up the lineup. In comparison, their crowd at Primavera Barcelona last year was enormous. Definitely up there as one of the biggest non headline crowds which really surprised me. There was a massive percentage of Irish people there though which may have helped contribute. Either way, I'd love to see them get big enough for a massive slot and think they do deserve it!
  15. Not a fan of Imagine Dragons at all but they did sell fairly well at Milton Keynes stadium this year and have a number of songs with well over a billion streams, they may not have many particularly massive fans but they've got much higher name recognition than Fontaines which will certainly attract a decent footfall. If Fontaines get another decent album out with a couple of hits in the indie scene it's certainly possible similar to a few others such as Wolf Alice/ Blossoms. Basically, would love it to happen (and certainly would work well as a slightly cheaper option as you say or even as a bump up due to a cancellation) but I'm still not 100% sold on it just yet.
  16. I had to check I wasn't reading the lineup wrong when I saw Jai Paul there. Where on earth did that come from??? On there hardcore front, there's also Scowl and Soul Glo who are both making massive strides at the moment
  17. As much as I'd love this, I sadly don't see this happening with the Reading demographic. They really deserve it but I just can't see them getting a remotely substantial crowd
  18. Fred seems to be gearing up for a ticket release it seems. Refreshing his stories in the hope I can catch a link
  19. Notifications were on but missed this. Website seems to be down now so assume I missed out? Gutted
  20. AM: 30% Used to be one of my favourites, love their new stuff but can't see it translating to the field brilliantly. Also seen them fair few times so anyone half decent who I haven't seen as much on another stage will sway me fairly easily. Would sorely regret not going if they bought out some old gems/ a few extra humbug or sias tunes though. GNR: 10% There's a small chance I may check out 20 minutes or so but they're just not for me at all. Would be ideal to have Fred headlining another stage at this time. Elton 95% Would take a lot to sway me here, big party at the pyramid while at my first Glastonbury! I also feel duty bout to see at least one headliner so it's the easy choice
  21. If anyone else is at this please come say hi! No one else in my group managed to get tickets so I'm driving down from Cambridge on my lonesome (late trains have all been cancelled!)
  22. Think the crowd would be far too big for the tent, even pinkpantheress and bakar got to near dangerous levels of overcrowding last year. They'll certainly be on the main stage. As you say, if they get a decent paycheck, I'm sure they'll take a daylight set happily
  23. Bicep in the sunlight?? Surely not that'll be very odd And they certainly won't fit in the dance tent
  24. Dan couldn't even be bothered to show up this year, it's that bad
  25. Should've gone and stuck Fred Again... on the top spot All in all though, that's very disappointing, although there's acts I like there there's absolutely nothing to justify me going. Will have to wait for the lower undercard and bbc intro until I decide if I'll volunteer or not
