  1. Keg were brilliant on their latest tour, would love to see them at the farm. Been lucky to see all of the bonus acts there over the past year and would certainly not say no to any of them. Lynks in particular always brings incredible energy
  2. Looks like Elton will likely be the first ever pyramid headliner I see! Not big on Roses and as much as I love Monkeys, I've seen them far too many times recently so will likely be elsewhere for those nights (if the rumors are true). Not a bad first headliner to see I must say!
  3. Managed a couple of gigs yesterday. Firstly was Stormzy at one of his intimate album release shows. it was only a few songs but the addition of the backing singers made it feel very special. Interesting to see it was only slower songs though. Then made it back for Working Men's Club at the Junction in Cambridge. They were great as they always seem to be and was happy with the number dancing towards the front! Highlight of the day has to go to Scalping though (support for the latter show). I've seen them a couple of times but only in daylight meaning last night was something special. Easily one of my favourite sets all year.
  4. Has anyone every volunteered for Download? Looking at doing so next year so if anyone has any recommendations of who is decent to work for I'd really appreciate!
  5. At the sixth time of asking I'm finally going next year! Not sure if I'll fully be able to keep the emotions in check when I arrive
  6. Not a bad start at all. Would've just been nice to see a slightly different headliner in the space of George Ezra, had Florence been there I would've been over the moon. Nevertheless, think this is more than enough to entice me back next year. I still really missed it last year even though the lineup didn't have much for me.
  7. Gutted to miss them last night as I was seeing Sea Power at the Junction. With Porridge Radio tonight and PVA in town tomorrow there's been a fair amount pop up after very little around this way for a while!
  8. I was hoping you were right but the same user later in the chain said they had 'mistaken radio wave detecting people with radio station' Big fan of the album though and looks like it's going to smash records. Swifties currently trying to get the entire top 10 of the hot 100 to be from the album which would be a crazy feat.
  9. Swifties now going as far as to walk out of shops playing other songs to 'halt the radio numbers'
  10. Really looking forward to this one. I was craving a TBHC part 2 as soon as AM7 started to seem like it was materialising so this is right up my street. I'm sure I remember one article describing it's sound as similar but 'back down on earth' as appose to the moon. Going to be a toss up at midnight which album gets the first play (TS, AM, Carly) but thankfully I won't have too much work to do on Friday morning so hoping to get through all three!
  11. Just treated myself to one of the signed vinyls. Been picking up the signed CD's for the last few albums but this will look much nicer in the collection
  12. Am I not right in thinking that's the only downgrade though? Feel like they're one of those bands that's always seemed bigger than their chart placings suggests thanks to me and numerous others buying about 12 copies of their debut on vinyl. Roundhouse is a big downgrade from Brixton academy on their last tour to be fair and there's still standing tickets available for £20 there which is a very good price. Have noticed that Fat Dog are supporting though, great band and urge that anyone go and watch Lou Smith's videos of them at the Windmill if they have the chance before tour.
  13. Through for Friday tickets right away on priority. Thankfully that was a breeze compared to yesterday
  14. No luck on priority here, been refreshing since sale
  15. Second the echoes that are a bit disappointed at the tour news. I've seen them at the O2 three times now so was really hoping for a bit of a change without having to make the trek somewhere else. I assume the 'feeling more intimate' statements from Matty just mean it'll be closer to the summer sonic/ R&L production levels than the big light boxes. Might head up north for a date and make a bit more of a weekend of it but I'll probably wait to hear the album first this time.
  16. Managed to get a seat in block 105 so over the moon with that. Had completely resigned myself to the fact I wasn't going
  17. Have fun everyone, gutted I can't make it this year due to a wedding as last year was definitely one of my highlights of the festival season. If it's your first time going know it's a real special one
  18. Yeah I'm just keeping an eye on twickets etc. Thankfully it only costs me a tenner to get to Finsbury so may even head down and see if anyone has any that need buying on the gate if not. Worst case scenario is I don't find any and have a day in the sun with a couple of beers elsewhere!
  19. Looking at the weather I'm really considering heading down on Saturday. Just hoping for some cheaper tickets to pop up as it's not exactly choc full of bands I'm dying to see
  20. I love the new one, right up my street. Can definitely see how it isn't for everyone though
  21. Four tet was unbelievably good, what a great way to finish off the evening. See you all again tomorrow! (Or today if we're being pedantic)
  22. Cleo Sol coming out with Simz was unexpected and I love it
  23. Billie has done great but I can't help but feel Foals and Simz would've put on a better show. Completely disregarding the crowd pull factor here though so appreciate its a hollow comment. Solely judging on how good the acts have been when I've seen them live vs on stream tonight
  24. Stunning, deserved to be in the dark
  25. Fully appreciate they're not that size yet but I can't wait for them to headline one day. If they keep up their quality of output and get a hit on their hands I can see it happening for sure
