  1. A must see! I managed to catch them in a Cambridge pub a few years ago and my honest face was certainly the standout! Sadly I won't be there for their set but I'm sure it'll be a great one
  2. As much as I do love their newer stuff (and in particular their second album) when Wolf Alice played giant peach THAT riff went offfff. Very excited to hear it again in a few weeks.
  3. I was unaware that he had recently featured on a song with Lynks so this was a brilliantly bizarre moment for me. I only went to see him after he came on to a song with Frank Carter at Download so had no idea what to expect. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing though and the late night set was just a bonus!
  4. Now the line up seems pretty much sorted, what's the one song everyone is looking forward to and why? Sadly this year the lineup isn't completely for me so I'll only be there for the Leeds Friday with my one song being 'married with children' if Liam actually plays it; would be a lovely ode to my late dad who always enjoyed the pettiness of that tune!
  5. I think you only have to hear the stark jump in quality from their first to second record to see they might really be onto something special in the future. Snow day has slowly become one of my favorite songs since release, absolute masterpiece both sonically and lyrically.
  6. Brilliant live band, very jealous of the K pit show. I've done a few of them and they're always good fun
  7. My top 5 1. Chemical Brothers 2. Damon 3. Squid 4. Sports Team 5. Hot Chip Honorable mentions to Stephen Fretwell and Maisie Peters who I also thoroughly enjoyed. Still getting over the fact I didn't manage to catch Wet Leg. Thankfully, I've managed to pick up a resale ticket to see them support Declan McKenna in Cambridge and will also keep an eye out for their London shows.
  8. Just manage to get tickets for KennyHoopa on the 19th at the Social in London. If he's making it there I think it's safe to say more (maybe not all) US acts will make the trip. Does look like that may be made slightly easier with all this new vaccine passport news
  9. After their Latitude set, I'd absolutely love chems to take the headline slot in place of one of the US acts. Other shouts for the weekend who played Latitude that would fit the R&L 'vibe' would be the Vaccines (could certainly see them doing a secret set), shame and working mens club. As brilliant as acts such as Squid, Wet Leg and Sons of Kemet were, I'm not sure how big crowds they'd draw at R&L When the Latitude covid cancellations started rolling in (Fontains DC & Arlo Parks amongst others), I was very worried about these gaps being filled but thankfully there were already plans in place by festival republic.
  10. Well squid were good weren't they?
  11. Stephen Fretwell was incredible. 14 years worth the wait
  12. Lynks really surprised me with that set. Will definitely go down to the woods to see it again later
  13. BCNR and Floating points are the two I'd like to see a winner from. I can't say there's any that I actively dislike though so quite a nice list for me.
  14. We've camped in the same pace for the last few years, in family camping right next to the main arena entrance (not family entrance) and it's never been particularly loud. Some friends usually camp a 10 minute walk away from the arena in normal camping and it's a bit more lively there. As others have suggested though, it's largely chilled everywhere compared to other major festivals.
  15. There's some DJ's and late night music scheduled on the app but nothing other than the usual. There always seems to be someone pop up for an acoustic set but nothing confirmed so far by the looks of it
  16. I remember in 2019 there was a very strange rumour of paolo nutini returning for a secret set. Heard multiple people claim to have seen him and then we got nothing. I think I recall Frank Turner doing a 'secret' set on the Thursday evening but I might be making that up. Either way, sadly I wouldn't be surprised if we get nothing again this year.
  17. I'm meant to be off to London this evening for Black Midi but with it being the 'first night out' back from lockdown I'm slightly worried about how packed travel might me on trains/ tubes. Luckily I've had both jabs but really don't want to catch it and miss out on this weekend. Really unsure how to play it.
  18. Gotta be prepared for all weather! If I'm right in thinking, we've had it quite good in recent years? The ants have been more of a problem for me
  19. Mine took just over 24 hours to pop up, was 48 hours for other members in my family though.
  20. I'm in the same position but am a bit worried so will do a lateral flow on the Thursday before I leave just in case anyway. I think you should be fine with the pass from the NHS app though.
  21. Just had Pfizer dose two on the first day I've been able to after 8 weeks! No side effects yet
