1. This played before Violent Night on saturday afternoon. Not many people there, but everyone was laughing at the end of this trailer. Might end up being a big hit.

Kanye West

The band talks about their favour for the death penalty in their documentary film 'No Manifesto' from 2015.
3. No one really knows that Gary Barlow did backing vocals on Can You Feel The Love Tonight but at Glastonbury 2023 THEY'RE GOING TO FIND OUT
4. I've gone with reasonable possibilities Lana Del Rey Doja Cat Guns N Roses Lizzy McAlpine Halsey
5. Saw Eureka Day at the Old Vic in September. I figured given the subject of a virulent disease and a debate around anti-vaxxers it was a satire on the pandemic, but it actually debuted 6 months before covid took hold on the world. Helen Hunt had that hollywood magnetism and Mark McKinney was basically Glen from Superstore, but in sandals and socks. Nice time had for £15 (I was right at the back, no regrets)
6. If I get there I'd like to see her headline the Other rather than watching amongst a dead crowd of people gathering in front of the pyramid for the headliner (although if she clashed against GNR I'd die - but I'm getting ahead of myself)

Guns n Roses

honestly I'm really hoping for guns'n'roses
8. Surprised by a few things
9. Was Marlay the earmarked upgrade venue, then they accidentally went first with it?

Instafest

Seen most of these.
11. She's probably got a whole album ready to go. I didn't think she was available for glastonbury, but it'd be an easy fit for all parties involved if she is.
12. Chucky continues to be the craziest thing on TV. Embracing over 3 decades of storyline development and not being embarrassed by any of it. Never thought I'd get to a point in life where I'm explaining the absurdities and complexities of the Chucky Universe to people in real life. It was just another franchise to me before the show, but this is proving to be the perfect format to explore this killer doll and his body swap horrors (not to mention the real life casting decisions that mirror the entanglements). Apparently the creator is trying to get a Chucky in Nightmare on Elm Street movie off the ground. That would be perfect.

The 1975

Before lockdown they had a finsbury park one off gig (like Fender last year) set up for summer 2020 with support from their label acts, along with Charli XCX and maybe even Phoebe Bridgers. Could see that coming back.
14. This is very nice. Additionally Def Leppard and Crue are doing gigs with golden circle (£138 approx) and regular standing (£95.20 exact) in glasgow and sheffield. Wembley is the only one with all seating.
15. Saw Black Panther 2 yesterday. Dunno if it's the lack of Chadwick, Marvel Fatigue in general or the cost of living crisis, but it was about a fifth full. Usually at the IMAX at lunchtime on the first sunday after a marvel release it's either packed out (Panther 1, Avengers 3 and 4) or 3/4s full (Dr Strange 2, Thors etc) As for the film, it had too much going on. Would've been more interesting with Nakia as the focus, with Shuri
causing beef with the Atlantis people by building the vibranium detection machine in her grief, trying to find the blue plant or whatever it is. Cut out Ironheart and all the yank stuff completely. It was nice seeing Julia Louis Dreyfus although her subterfuge led to nothing but the arrest and subsequent jailbreak of Ross.
The 1975

They're streaming their Madison Square Garden show on Twitch at 6pm tonight. If it's the proper proper show I'm just gonna wait till I see them in 2 months.
17. Thank you. So if I fail later I get a second bite of the cherry. Nice.
18. Was just getting my bearings for later and saw that national express offer coaches out of brum to glastonbury. I remember that's what I got back in 2008. When do they go on sale? (if I'm not successful in the see coaches sale later)
19. Always interested in how they work out the running order for these sort of festivals

The 1975

Matty's confirmed on twitter they'll be taking to the stage at 8:30 every night. Probably 2 hours and 15 minutes of tunes, nice nice.
21. Lime Kiln is a short walk (up a hill, mind) from the coach stop. Good views, lots of space, nice atmosphere.
22. Hemingway was wrong. You only need 5 words to tell the saddest story.
23. Wow. I read The Dirt in 2004 and so much of it was about how rough his illness made him. Fair play to him getting through this big summer tour they've just done.
24. Wait for that to load. They should still be there. They've removed the link from their website cuz it's getting merked so bad.
25. The Ticket Factory was getting hammered but I got my Paramore tickets. Although it was a scare as post hitting 'pay now' they made me answer a captcha and then put me in a queue just to look at the page that confirmed I had successfully bought tickets (a queue which I'm still in. I got a separate email confirming). That said, it's nice having this additional presale for Brum events.
