  1. Aphex Twin, good god. If that comes true I feel like I'm going to have a lot of hard decision's given who's already on the poster.
  2. Grade A stuff below, treat yourself
  3. I think Bicep are definitely big enough to headline the Other Stage on Saturday (especially compared to who else is on the poster). That said, from a fan experience perspective, I think Bicep's sound would be more suited to West Holts. The Other Stage is so open that sometimes the high and lows can fell a little empty (depending where you are standing), where with West Holts - at least for Jon Hopkins and Justice - the sound felt so much richer.
  4. God damn, didn't know that... Macca and Bicep would be an awful clash, not too worried about any of the other headliners
  5. Nice - Bicep, Bonobo, Caribou, Elbow, Four Tet, Metronomy, Primal Scream, Robert Plant, Rosin Murphy, Supergrass 🤘🏼🤘🏼
  6. I'd say they'll be Friday (same as Jon Hopkins in 2018)
  7. Two absolutely fantastic books worth reading (particularly given current events): Red Notice: A True Story of Corruption, Murder and how I became Putin's no. 1 enemy https://www.waterstones.com/book/red-notice/bill-browder/9780552170321 Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps That Tell You Everything You Need To Know About Global Politics https://www.waterstones.com/book/prisoners-of-geography/tim-marshall/9781783962433
  8. My point was more leaning towards the fact that artists income has been negatively affected for a sustained period of time and how that might affect their touring decisions. It's no secret that Glastonbury pay less but that doesn't mean it doesn't provide equal value. There's very few festivals around the world, if any, that have the level of broadcast coverage that Glastonbury does. In a world where video content is king, Glastonbury Festival is head and shoulders above all others when it comes to providing valuable exposure to artists. On a fair payday, that boils down to your interpretation of fair.
  9. This sounds like an absolute nightmare... If disaster strikes, I should have space in my car and happy to help where I can but here's hoping it doesn't come to that.
  10. Given the 2 or so years of forced festival hiatus, I hope its not a case that they're struggling to confirm decent acts because more bands are going for the larger payday elsewhere... That Latitude lineup has given me the willies

I suppose that depends on what your definition of bullshit is. I've been in plenty of "crafty" bars where the staff are more concerned with modelling their tattoos than actually doing a bit of hard graft. If a person is not willing to work hard, I tend not to have much sympathy if they feel they're getting a hard time. Edit: I should point out that I'm speaking in general terms and I'm not saying Brewdog staff (or anyone else for that matter) don't have valid complaints. I simply don't know if they do.

I'll bring a local stash with me - maybe some Yellowbelly Citra IPA and Heaney's Double Pale Ale - and will probably top it up with something nice I can get my hands on in Bristol in the lead up. (And a carton or two of red for good measure)

Cloudwater have some lovely beers albeit they're incredibly overpriced over this side of the Irish sea. Would be a great addition to Glasto though.

Interesting, thanks. I'll try give that a watch

Yeah, I'm not going to lie and say I have any particular in-depth knowledge of Brewdog's treatment of staff other than the open letter some ex-employee's penned. That said, and in more general term's, I think there's a generation now that have very little resilience to parts of life that are, in a word, shitty. Maybe it's all true and Brewdog are terrible employers. Generally I try not to give a huge amount of weight to stuff that I read social media though. I like Punk IPA. I like Elvis Juice. I think at one point their marketing served a purpose but now it's kinda cringe.

Controversial Opinion: I like Brewdog* *Generally speaking, Lost Lager is piss
  17. And collecting as a group. In 2018, one of our group had to change his plans last minute and couldn't arrive until Thursday. What's the contingency for collecting tickets if all of the group can't arrive at the same time (which may not even be the same day)? And when does the box office actually open? As with previous years, we plan to be there queuing from early Wednedsay morning. Does the box office open at the same time as the gates (I hope not)? And if not, how far in advance of the gates does it actually open? We arrived at 4am in 2018 and there was already a massive queue at the gates. Its going to be brutal if we arrive at 4am again to find we can't collect our tickets straight away (or even queue for the gate because we're all going to have to leave to collect tickets at the same time). I know we're still a fair bit away but I'm worried, given how small a percentage of ticket sales we are, we might be left in limbo.
  18. I hear you, its pissed me off too. The fact that one person can't collect all tickets is ridiculous - they were getting posted to one address anyway!
  19. Damn... I really hope they put more ticket collection points in and maybe some sort of system to nominate your collection point. And not to mention have the collection point open well in advance of the gates. I can't help but worry that we're going to be hit by two queues now. One to get our tickets and then one to actually get in.
  20. Ah, that sucks. You'll know better than I do from these forums that solo's often say they have such a great time albeit I know it would defo make me anxious doing it too. That said, and I'm not sure if this makes things any easier, but I'm sure there's any number of people here that would be happy for you to join their gang, ourselves included (a few of which don't know each anyway outside of the ticket WhatsApp group we created back in in 2018). I think get your ticket and then feel things out over the coming month or so. Besides, I think the anxiety of following these forums in the lead up knowing that you could have been there would be far worse! 🙂
  21. Yeah, you should be. We've done it previously anyway
  22. Well this is a pain in the ass... As I mentioned in the other thread, we ploughed ahead hoping we'd get an option for delivery eventually. Box Office Collection was the only option. Looks like the Ticket Collection Box Office is at Gate A... that's an added hassle we didn't need for Wednesday morning
  23. Ah, we pressed on hoping that the option would eventually turn up on one of the screens. It doesn't....
  24. Any international buyers not getting a postal option? Seems to just be box office collection for us
