  1. I don't know what else is going on in your life but I do know break ups are tough. Really fucking tough. It's important to recognise though its okay and completely natural to feel absolutely shit sometimes. A phrase my other half often says to people which might help, is to try and sit with those feelings rather than in them. What that means is to appreciate that it's okay to feel down, understand that it's natural but try not let it completely take over (there's lots of therapy exercises that can help do this but it's not my place to advise on them, thats where the professional comes in). Importantly, don't be hard on yourself. Maybe think about seeing someone again too. Like everything, you're going to have some therapists that are better than others and your going to have different styles of therapy that suit different types of people and situations. It's a good thing to focus on things like Glastonbury but maybe try not to hang everything on top of that one event. Everybodys brain works differently and where it may have took just one light bulb moment for Bob Mortimor to brighten up his darkness, it may take a few more light bulbs to brighten up someone's else's. If this forum helps, this could be one of your light bulbs. Glastonbury will probably be a really bright bulb for you too, but it's important recognised it sometimes takes more that one bulb to light up a room.
  2. I'm not sure if this counts as getting ready but I was in Paddington this afternoon (I'm not in the UK that often) and saw the train to Castle Cary - it gave me all the feels! Roll on June!
  3. Great to see, its absolutely the best way forward. Hopefully Ireland will follow suit!
  4. My other half is a psychotherapist so my opinion on this subject is a bit weighted. Her position - which I echo - would be to first seek a therapist. Medication can be a postive aid but tends not be a long term solution on its own. I'm sceptical of GP's prescribing antidepressants for anxiety/depression without also advising to speak with someone. If you haven't already, I'd consider speaking to a therapist. For anxiety, I'd look in to a therapist that specialises in Cognative Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This type of therapy is a highly structured and modern form of therapy. It's centred around the modern sciences, understanding why our brains do things and then training them to do things differently if there's an issue. As far as I know, this type of therapy can work really well for anxiety and depression. Hopefully this helps you somewhat. Good luck in your journey my friend!
  5. I prefer doing my Glasto research on YouTube (video gives me a better feel for the acts), so I've fired together a YouTube playlist. It's just one live performance from each artist on the poster, so no tracks or music videos. Anywho, thought others might find it handy too so here ya'll go -

    The Prodigy

Still seems to be a bit more availability on Ticketmaster, albeit for the midweek slots

    The Prodigy

Yeah, that's where I went. Refreshed at 9am, got as far as putting 2 tix in the basket only to get a message a second or 2 later saying no tickets available, join the waiting list. The whole experience lasted no more that 10 seconds.

    The Prodigy

I stupidly had followed the link from the presale (which had a countdown)... didn't realise it was also on Ticketmaster, think that was the problem. Looks like I'll have to pick a different venue now, which means convincing the other half to take a day off work...

    The Prodigy

Ah here... waited patiently until 9am. Refreshed the page, no more than 5 seconds later - sold out. Seriously?
  10. As much as I'd love it, I just can't see it happening. Without Keith, it seems like they're dipping their toes in the water first with the announced schedule - very Prodigy venues, with Prodigy fans, all in the UK. Starting at a music festival just doesn't seem like the best fit.
  11. Fantastic - straight in to the must sees! Thanks!
  12. Looks like a hard pass on Doja Cat for me... anything I've listened to so far just sounds like this generic female pop/rap stuff. The unnecessarily crass lyrics ain't my bag either. Sampa the Great is new to me though and I'm liking what I've found so far
  13. Also more than happy to help 👍
  14. Certainly a step down from what was meant to be in 2020

Raging. Had 2 in the basket for Birmingham but the site made me sign up to complete the purchase... signed up within 30 seconds but then my basket was empty. Looks like I'll have to try again on Friday.
  16. Bicep closely followed by Aphex Twin if the rumours are true
  17. I felt like that when Jon Hopkin's brought out Singularity (in particular the track Everything Connected) and was content that it would probably be a very long time before I felt that kind of powerful feeling again..... Bicep: "Hold my coat"
  18. Aphex Twin, good god. If that comes true I feel like I'm going to have a lot of hard decision's given who's already on the poster.
  19. Grade A stuff below, treat yourself
  20. I think Bicep are definitely big enough to headline the Other Stage on Saturday (especially compared to who else is on the poster). That said, from a fan experience perspective, I think Bicep's sound would be more suited to West Holts. The Other Stage is so open that sometimes the high and lows can fell a little empty (depending where you are standing), where with West Holts - at least for Jon Hopkins and Justice - the sound felt so much richer.
  21. God damn, didn't know that... Macca and Bicep would be an awful clash, not too worried about any of the other headliners
  22. Nice - Bicep, Bonobo, Caribou, Elbow, Four Tet, Metronomy, Primal Scream, Robert Plant, Rosin Murphy, Supergrass 🤘🏼🤘🏼
  23. I'd say they'll be Friday (same as Jon Hopkins in 2018)
