  1. Excellent! In 2017 we were passing back through the Unfair Ground late on Friday night when one of the “carney” girls ushered us over to her fair game. The game was to throw a crushed can into a tiny slot which surprisingly I managed to get it in (in my state). She quickly rummaged through a draw then pulled me over the counter and softly whispered in my ear “here’s your prize, it’s a cast of Michael Eavis’s asshole”
  2. What an Incredibly narrow minded view.
  3. Genuine question, would you be willing to support the “Free Palestine” movement if it also includes everything you have stated? On the “Free the Hostages” comment, I think pretty much all commentary I’ve heard also includes this. As well as condemnation of Hamas. I’d also question the indiscriminate nature of the bombing of Gaza - if hostage safety is a priority (which many of the family’s agree with).
  4. 2 bagged for our gang 🤘 Sorry to anyone who has missed out
  5. If what’s written on his crowdfunder is anywhere near true, this is disgusting by the festival. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/paulcurrievssoho?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABpp2Zh_Tdl68RoMmwUt1XKICciD229JyCpRYgjawdSR_tWbKB9iVPutU5xA_aem_AZepb-z5Iqeh6vqch9NrjEM7LRr98i8yq9AbYoB7zBijaXA1RrITDTnA7d-VM269AFQ
  6. Defo still there chief. We picked up some wood last year, it's on the railway line just after the long drops, at the junction between Greenpeace & Green Futures/Croissant Neuf
  7. Wishing the best of luck to all the resale groups! Purely anecdotal but it seems like there’s more tickets going back than usual this time - we’re normal very solid but we’ve 3 going back out of 11 + another 4 of 6 confirming they won’t be trying in the resale (having previously said they would). Hopefully that bodes well for everyone here!
  8. My guess on the boxes is Genesys... the video mapping was so good on that stage, really hope this means this is another improvement again!
  9. Looks to have all doors intact so we can rule out Boeing anyway

    Faithless

Faithless are up there as one of my all time favourites but also hold the position of probably my favourite ever gig - Oxegen 2004 (old Irish Festival that thankfully is no more) Faithless were given a midday Sunday main stage slot but there was a rumour going around that they weren’t happy with the low position. However, because they were up against nobody really, pretty much the entire festival was at it (or at least, that’s how it felt). It had been raining most of the morning/afternoon with some pretty heavy showers. Enter Faithless. Maxi walks out, says a few words in his usual cool-as-f**k Maxi way, points to the sky and then bang, God is a DJ. I kid you not, the rain stops, the clouds disappear and the sun begins to beam down on us for the entire gig… It was bliss. Then, maybe 5 minutes after they finished up and the crowd began to disperse, it started to absolutely bucket down again, so heavy people were running for shelter in the tents. God truly was a DJ that day. RIP Maxi, you were one of a kind ✌🏼
  11. Where we were for Wet Legg felt worse than where we were TLC. Both crazy busy
  12. I can say one thing that has annoyed me… reverting back to telling us the stages this early has robbed us of the opportunity to speculate!
  13. 2017 was incredible. Looking forward to repeating!
  14. As mentioned, it’s probably the best they could get, but that doesn’t take away from it being weak in comparison to previous. Every year can’t be a show stopper though
  15. It’s possible to be critical of the line up but also supportive of the festival. Let’s call a spade a spade, most agree it’s a weak line up. It may be the best they could get/afford from a headliner perspective (across all stages), and we all know Glasto is more than the music, but for me it’s the undercard that’s most underwhelming.
  16. Edit: well that was meant to be a gif...
  17. Anyone remember Little Big? They kind of blew up around covid with this tune if I remember correctly - Looks like they had to leave for the US shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine. I'd like to see these at the farm, it seems like they'd bring the party and would be a great fit for the festival
  18. What’s the criteria for “Possible” line-up rumours? Wondering if Confidence Man should be dropped in after their like of @wozwebs recent tweet to them + that it looks like they’ll be at least in Europe if not UK around Glasto time. Edit: Nevermind, I see them now under likely!
  19. A lot of who have been mentioned already but also - Green Velvet @ Arcadia
  20. Patiently waiting for the thread status to become "hot"... I'd be delighted to see The Prodigy included on the poster drop
  21. Adding Justice 2017 to an already great list... those lights were awesome.
  22. If you're worried about the boat, the Swift is far quicker and usually smoother. Oxford to Holyhead is a similar distance as it is to Fishguard too. If your plans arent firmly set, its less than a 2 hour drive between Dublin & Wexford and there's plenty of beautiful places to stay in between too if you don't fancy the drive off the boat.
  23. Hoi hoi! First of congrats on bagging the golden tickets, it's going to be like nothing you've experienced before! Excited for you! I've travelled to the festival from Dublin by flight and by ferry and definitely ferry is the preferred choice. As other posters have already mentioned, arriving to Bristol by Tuesday night is the preference, particularly for your first time at the festival. It's a long drive but it is manageable. If you get the morning swift you'll be in Bristol around 4/5ish (including a food stop half way). If it's purely time off you're struggling with, maybe think about splitting the group? Last year we had 3 cars driving via. Holyhead on Monday morning and 2 further people join us on Tuesday evening via. a flight to Bristol. It's another option to think about. What are you think for the Monday post festival? Are you planning to be back in work Tuesday or are you trying to make it back for work on Monday (I know one person who managed to pull off being at her desk at 9am on Monday morning in the IFSC having left the festival at midnight Sunday. I don't think she'd recommend it though! 😂) Why Fishguard too? Although the drive to the festival is shorter, you also have to factor in the 2 hours from Dublin to Rosslare... plus you'll need to arrive at least an hour before the 08:45 departure. When we started weighing up one against the other, we felt it made more sense to get a better sleep in and aim for the 07:30 Swift from Dublin.
