  1. Have we ever had a Pyramid Headliner in the last 10 years or so that was a total, complete surprise to us on Efestivals? I can’t remember any.,
  2. I find much of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres really annoying because it’s so much manufactured pop, songs like Biutyful and Humankind, but the main reason is I really have loved much of what they’ve done in the past and would still enjoy them as a live act so to dislike their last album so much makes it all very frustrating.

If only we had a Russian 'Cozy Bear' Is he?
  4. I’d be there. I couldn’t resist.
  5. Admittedly we probably bothered Andrew Marr many years ago, as we had been drinking and one of us was wearing a Barack Obama mask, so we asked Marr if he would interview him, which he did, sort of. Then we left him alone. I also acted like a stupid fanboy when I met Mick Jones of The Clash in the old Strummerville.
  6. Reckon we’ll be lucky to get a line up as strong as this! And thanks a couple of acts listed I wasn’t aware of but fancy seeing now.
  7. Don't think Hozier has been mentioned, it's happened before, a 'secret' Woodsies followed by the Pyramid next year.
  8. You can usually tell the fake posters because they’re wishful thinking with far too many big names on the list.
  9. I always believe it should be on merit and merit only, if it's 3 female headliners one year, great. If it's 3 male headliners one year, great. As long as over the course of the festival year on year it's transparently not biased in any manner.
  10. You may have seen the Glastonbury line-up rumours is now being updated, I believe they'll include the GSH ones too. Here's my update for them, changes in red:
  11. It's a fair comment, if everyone had been banned from performing at Glastonbury on allegations alone there would be quite a list. To start with, Mick Jagger and David Bowie.

It’s a huge place isn’t it? Friends that live nearby in Street showed me a photo when it was built some years ago.
  13. Yeah, I met Michelle when she was performing in a Manchester pub about 3 months ago. She came across very well. Her solo stuff was good too.
  14. I saw him play with The Wailers a few years ago. Sadly it was a bit of a tragic performance, they brought/carried him on and sat him down, put his fingers in the right spot on his bass and he'd sort of play for a few moments then stop and look as if he'd fallen asleep. On repeat for each song. they did have another bassist to cover up his failings. Don't know whether he'd insisted on playing or whether they'd dragged him out for show, but it was probably the saddest spectacle I've ever seen on stage.
  15. You're absolutely right, I've been playing the album again over recent months. Every song is ace. Still think it's extremely unlikely we will see her but at least she's made an appearance after so many years.

Almost never, but they can sometimes produce material that’s worthwhile. From 2023 I reckon all of these made decent albums, without being classic: The Pretenders, The Rolling Stones, OMD, Paul Simon, Blur, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens.

Erm, no! Just checking, probably fair to say his last good new recordings were some songs on Hotter Than July. 1980.
  18. I love Klezmer (& Balkan) music, Glastonbury helped as I saw Oi Va Voi there twice and the Bath band Ninotchka several times, they remain some of my favourite festival memories, also the Scottish band Moishe’s Bagel elsewhere. Off to see Paprika in London soon. I’d describe them as Electro-Swing, the great Argentinian band Gotan Project, sadly long since gone:
  19. I've all 16 of mine, many here:
  20. It's possible, let's see how things go first. Thanks for the suggestion.
  21. Wow, 11:02, that's quick!
  22. Hi All I offered to do updates on the eFestival Glastonbury line up & rumours page as it's not been updated much of late, so I'm doing a spreadsheet for them to upload the info as & when. I'll send the first one by tomorrow, see my first efforts attached. We are going to include 'GSH' ones. I'll keep updating from what's posted but if there's ever any errors or obvious omissions please let me know. I've no insider knowledge so I'm simply going by what seems likely or not as posted on here. I hope this is of help to everyone!
  23. Excellent, really hope to see her this summer.
  24. Very happy to have my Glastonbury volunteering confirmed, what's more it's a role I hope to do for evermore, as a photographer. Absolutely blissfully delighted! It's been 4+ years of being registered so no easy road. Intend to maximise the time so I'll be there on the Sunday prior. I've always enjoyed the anticipation of being early - Tuesday CV fields 8am arrivals over the last few years - so this is an extra bonus.

Their show at the Manchester Arena in 2017 was one of my favourite gigs, ever. It was just so powerful and emotional.
