  1. Just hoping the full lineup arrives before Primavera. Would take weds morning, as it would give me something to look at on the journey there.
  2. What a good lineup that was. Saw 7 of those acts including a couple of 3-act runs on the Fri night and Sauna Saturday. Looking forward to seeing what they have lined up this year
  3. Don't know much by them other than the obvious songs, but enjoyed their IOW set on tv last year. Caught by the Fuzz went straight on a few of my playlists. Hoping to see them on the farm.

    The Park 2022

Lots to like there. Courtney could be my sunday headliner, though I couldn't really get into her latest album.
  5. Yep, this is the most painful clash for me. Saw Warpaint last week, but they were so good and can't see myself missing one of my favourite bands at my first Primavera. Overall that's wiped out a few acts I wanted to see unfortunately, but it could have been worse. Surprised they haven't bothered replacing Massive Attack, but there we go.
  6. Warpaint were excellent in Manchester last night. Got a pretty loud reception from the crowd, and band looked like they were having a good time. Nice to hear a good chunk of the EP too. Looking forward to seeing them again at Primavera

    Arcade Fire

And enjoying the new album. Age of Anxiety I probably my fav so far - great build-up

    Arcade Fire

Cheers for this! Wasn't on the ball for the other presales
  9. I don't understand it. Those NW sites seemed designed with coach travellers and Thursday arrivals in mind. Where else would these people go? They can't be expected to trek across the site with all their gear in hope of finding the odd space that may or may not exist. Anyway, it may turn out that there is still enough space, but at the cost of the NW sites being rammed compared to before.
  10. The map symbol locations are not always completely accurate. For example, the toilet point in Bushy, (nearest to Rivermead) is always on the other side of the pink path to where it is showing on the map. So I'd guess at least one of the Pylon toilets will be public.
  11. As a Bushy regular, I'm a bit concerned about the knock-on effect of removing half of Pylon camping. It had already been getting harder to get a spot as the years have gone by, and this is only gonna make things worse

    Lorde

No Team? What the hell. Glad I've seen this in advance, as that would have been a nasty shock on the night. Nice to see Perfect Places there though.
  13. Some of the numbers don't feel quite right to me. Rabbit Hole in particular is a tiny venue. There's no way it has the same capacity as Manchester Apollo. Is The Glade as big as Brixton Academy? JP the same capacity as Ally Pally?
  14. Doesn't sound like Chvrches will be there then
  15. Haven't worked it out, but pretty sure my top 2 will be Pyramid and John Peel, followed by Other and Park. Though Williams Green has been getting more visits in recent years. Rarely at West Holts, despite its rep.
  16. Really enjoyed Interpol headlining the JP stage at Glastonbury 2019 - turned me from a casual into a bit more of a proper fan. Only other time I'd seen them was Leeds fest 2011, which was pretty dull. Elbow following them almost sent me to sleep, which wasn't the ideal prep for a Muse Origin of Symmetry set.
  17. Deafheaven would be great - and maybe more likely than previous years, given the accessibility of the latest album, and the fact they are in Manchester on the Sun. Kinda given up hope of Deftones ever playing.
  18. Plenty of endearingly awkward chat! Including a bit where they take turns introducing each other. But the crowd were in good spirits, and they seemed more comfortable as it went on. Dragged a friend along who thought they were great. Got in an efests new music thread reference when asked how I'd discovered them. Probably one of your recommendations!
  19. This will be my 7th Glasto, and only my 2nd arriving on the Weds. Usually get Thurs coach tickets. Our last Weds arrival was 2016 and spent nearly 12hrs on the coach due to the traffic, and finally got on site around 8pm. So hoping for a full Weds experience this time. Thursday is fine if you're not too fussy about your camping spot. We always go in Bushy anyway, so doesn't really matter which day we arrive. I've always enjoyed arriving when the festival is in full swing, and having enough energy to have a big night on the Sunday when the SE corner is quieter. Even arriving late on the Weds in 2016, I was surprised how much quieter the site felt in the evening compared to arriving on the Thurs.
  20. Finally got to see The Beths tonight at the Brude in Leeds. What a lovable band. Get them on the farm.
  21. Got through about 10 mins ago, way after the sold out messages went out. My friend hadn't given me his card expiry date though, and wasn't answering his phone. Felt like such a waste of luck watching the timer run out
  22. Shame about MA - don't know much of their stuff, but was looking forward to catching them live. Would love Arcade Fire or NIN but, more realistically, would take Yeah Yeah Yeah's for weekend 1. Maybe Interpol as well, though already planning seeing them on the Weds.
  23. Got through for a couple of friends, but Leeds Thurs coaches were sold out. Ah well, on to sunday
  24. Ah was about to moan about there being no Leeds/Manchester, and those are the two dates that are missing
