super furry animals replacing kodaline

As the title for anyone who hasn't seen. was on the screens earlier. A definite upgrade I'd say!

That's the most disappointing thing about the whole weekend for me. Not that SFA replaced Kodaline but that I was blissfully unaware that this was happening until the next day 

 

I watched very little on the main stage so if that was where the announcement took place it's no surprise I missed it. Absolutely gutted.

It wasn't well publicised - I happened to look up before watching Lucy rose and saw the announcement but only saw it once or twice between other sets. I think it should've been on rotation with the drugs message all day so people walking past had chance to find out as its a massive change in demographic. Saw loads of disappointed faces walking away when they realised it wasn't kodaline

I think there was an assumption people were all using social media, which would've been fine and probably mainly true if there was any mobile signal

Good for some but there were loads of gutted lasses, including the 2 15 year olds with me who were sporting their kodaline tshirts all day and we're mortified when they found out they weren't playing any more

Having a gutted teenager last year when Ella Eyres bowel issues caused her no-show, I can feel your pain... Surely means odds-on for next year though?

I sent the kids onsite earlyish (11.30 lol) each day to take pics of stage times posted at info (owing the the fact they had no lanyards left by lunchtime Fri!?!) so we found out in advance

They were initially disappointed but we went along for a look see as I quite like Super Furries  and have never seen them and we all just loved them! One of the highlights of the weekend for all of us
