couldnt see that working over here, we'd end up with exclusive camping at solfest and thursday tickets for lattitude or somewhere like that.

it'll be interesting to see how many tickets appear on ebay today like ! hope the touts havent got the link to the emperors field tickets

This sounds like a cunning ploy so you don't get the FB page clogged up with people asking the same bloody questions over and over again...again

1. When are the tickets on sale?

2. Who's playing?

3. Can my band play?

4. Completely unrealistic bands requests a la U2/Arctic Monkeys/Beatles

We should have a drinking game based on how often theses questions get asked in a week.

looks like the touts are on the ball nice and early ! he bought them in the november sale, and is now selling them for the nice sum of £175 a shot. probably not got the best chance of selling them for 75% profit the day before general release like ! so maybes not the brightest of touts, however im sure the same person will be on the link snapping up as many emperors field tickets as he can knowing theres more value in them !

3. Can my band play? go the site and apply, if you cant follow those instructions, then probably not !

Completely unrealistic bands requests a la U2/Arctic Monkeys/Beatles chances are if you're requesting bands like these you'll be off yer heeds by the time the main act takes the stage, put your mp3 player on with the album of youre choice playing full blast and you'll believe thats who you are seeing on stage. just for you - u2 friday, arctics saturday and beatles including lennon and harrisons ghosts on sunday.

somehow if we had a drinking game with those questions i dont think we'd be sober until mid august.

And we're sorted for the Emperors Field. Phewww. Announcements tomorrow for Kendal, Crooked Ways (a little fest in Pontefract where we live), and Long Division (a stellar day out in Wakefield), and that us sorted for the summer ! Roll on tomorrow, and lets hope its NOT Keane !

That was hard work! The link and ticketlines website either wouldnt let us access the booking page, or when we could get through it took sooooolong, that by the time we got to the payment part, it said that our booking had expired!!

Was starting to get worried, but finally managed to get it sorted. Thursday tickets and Emperors Field booked.

bloody hell, the day 19 users were browsing this topic.

i see that kendal have put a cryptic clue on their facebook site regarding the number 24, obviously 24 hours to the line up but theyre hinting at it being something else. I reckon people are on the right lines with it being a reference to 24 hour party people, but everyone seems to be heading down the happy mondays route. I've got a feeling it might be a nod towards James that'll please a few of us on here as they were signed by Tony Wilson as well. Its also noticable that New Order are touring as well and would fit in to that catagory.
