TNA have released Amazing Red, The IWC is split about it, whilst I liked Red, he was limited and had no character whatsoever dispite being in TNA forever, he nmever seemed to progress any further whatsoever. Baby face never let him be anything but a face and faces don't really need Managers to do talking for them, thats for heels, so where do you go? Needed a rich heel roster to face against and TNA is only really getting that now, Austin is gunna be great for them.

But thats not really true is it?

Or do you say the same about the likes of Petey Williams, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Homicide, and countless others (including Samoa Joe) who have had their legs cut off by TNA in favour of WCW alumni and WWE rejects?

Which 'homegrown' talent has TNA got over in the last five years? No one. You can say Beer Money and the Motor City Machine Guns but no one is paying to watch them and its easy to impress the same 900 idiots who went to the Impact Zone every two weeks. AJ Styles is a mid card joke, last seen jobbing out to Bubba Ray Dudley, Christopher Daniels is a mid carder at best (mainly because he's been stuck there for so long, and I think he's 41 now) and Samoa Joe needs to get out of the promotion, as he has needed to for the last eighteen months.

Which of the homegrown talent is going to take TNA forward? Answer: None of them, because if they were they would have done so by now. Or at least shown signs of doing so. Does Robert Roode really come across as a headliner? Of course not. They tried to get him over as a top level singles in 2007, when he beat Jarrett clean on PPV and it didnt work, and thats when he ended up in Beer Money.

Apart from Destination X, l(apart from Lethal Lockdown- which was all about Flair and did nothing for anyone) look at who has been in the PPV main events all year: Sting, Kurt Angle, Mr. Anderson, Rob Van Dam, and Jeff Hardy. It is August and every single world title match on PPV this year has had these five people in it. And no one else. This, and the fact that the promotion is centered around the same people; Hogan, Flair, Bischoff etc is one of the many reasons why no home grown talent is over, and why TNA is just marching along, waiting for Spike TV to pull the plug and put everyone out of their misery...

Apparently WWE magazine is teasing an in ring return from Triple H at NOC.

While I am a massive Trips mark and would personally like to see him in ring again I think this would be a huge mistake considering his current character placement.

Why put it on WM, when it's already going to max out at 300k buys due to Cena vs Rock anyway? Might as well use it to try and pop a buy rate at a b-level ppv... say, HiaC or Vengance.

he has to stay out of it for his COO character to be believable or else it will just decend into people thinking he's just involving himself and stroking his ego needlessly instead of putting the product first.

Looking forward for summerslam this wkend, it should be a solid ppv.

Cena vs Punk should be a good, I smell a screwjob somewhere to trigger Punk/HHH feud.

Not too bothered with Christian vs Orton, Orton is too boring, hope christian retains and hopefully start feuding with someone else.

I'm also looking forward for Sheamus vs Mark Henry. As they are two performers I'm enjoying watching lately, Henry's push has been good, Hope' Sheamus gets pushed as well. SD needs badly some good main eventers.

Hopes R-truth vs Morrison and Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett gets added to the card as well

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
