Always the way... Vince only sees people true worth when they stand up to him or are about to leave. Or both.

The final RAW segment with the contract signing was great. You could see Vince was slightly nervy, but having a lot of fun, and Punk had clearly been told anything goes. Obvisouly unscripted stuff between the two. Even Cena managed to do a decent job when he came out, but I agree with metal... Punk is cash money, and they've all but wasted him for 5 years running.

I want a CM Punk Ice Cream!

Punk is pure gold. Some how don't see him leaving but they way they have let him go about the last few weeks is amazing. Quite telling on the job hes done when you get the likes of Austin, HBK, Bret Hart, Jr etc commenting on his work, making it feel like the attitude era over again etc, A fun fact I read from mondays show was that post end show promos ALL of his merch sold out, which is quite the achievement. Its done the job in making me wanting to watch MITB in anycase.

This is what they should do...

The rumour is Cena v Rock at Survivor Series. Do that, fine. Have Punk beat Cena, and then be screwed out the title somehow (not Montreal though). Punk 'leaves' for a while, and then returns as an outsider, kind of like Matt Hardy did a few years ago. Vince then begs to keep him, and he does something similar to what Sting did in 1997, and refuse to sign a contract unless he gets the match with Rock. Punk cuts all the promos about Rock leaving, being part time, and holding him down. CM Punk v The Rock at Wrestlemania. Punk agrees to come back only on the condition that he faces Rock, and no one else at Wrestlemania. And you can drag that out for ages. And just have Punk 'drop in' as it were time and again disrupting things.

Didn't watch MITB as dont have sky sports package on my Virgin Media subscription but have read the results and...wow.

Trying not to ruin it for anyone but knew one of the spots coming a mile away in the main event,so obvious but I still like the sound of it.It's like a nod to older fans.

Not going to ruin the result even though im dying to lay hints and ask questions,my laptops bust and cant use spoilers from my phone so im f**ked lol.

All I'm going to say is I can't wait for Raw tomorrow/tonight.

Just read the results there...

I think this might be the internet/old school fans favourite PPV for some time, Daniel Bryan winning MITB, Christian winning the title, PUNK~! Too Awesome, fair play WWE, fair play.

Wow. Havent seen or heard a crowd that up for it since Hogan vs The Rock at Wrestlemania.

Couple of things

Cena vs Punk was great and a great ending too. Punk could really be a superstar. His time has come. Presume he'll be on Raw tomorrow and offered a new contract and Cena won't be fired due to Vinces interference?

Ive a new found respect for Cena after last night. Punks knee to Cenas chin!! Could've broken his jaw.

Was Cenas and more importantly Miz's knee injuries legit? Miz's looked nasty.

Sheamus powerbombing Sin Cara through the ladder. OUCH!

The ladder matches were really good. Some very nasty awkward looking bumps.

Awesome awesome show. Both ladder matches brilliant, henry-show was fun & very good for a super-heavyweight match. christian-orton was their least-good match so far, but told a great story & actually makes me a little interested in their lacklustre feud (storywise) so far.

As for the headline... atmosphere-wise its up with Cena-RVD and Rock-Hogan. Easily. And a very very solid old-school wrestling match with a good finish. I won't say any more!

(I'll just pretend I had a nap through the awful woman's match...)

Re wellness- it's not necessarily steroids, could be any manner of things; non-prescription painkillers etc. I think recreational drugs are on the list too. Silly of Sin Cara to get caught anyway :(

The reaction Punk received was off the hook. I haven't heard a pop like that in ages. I'm guessing he has some sort of agreement with the company as I doubt he would be allowed to leave champion if not. Brilliant match though, Cena was impressive. 5/5 PPV for me.

Raw was

fairly shit until the last 10 minutes. Im loving this kayfabe blurring at the moment. Reminds me of the old WCW days with Bischoff and Russo (before they f**ked it up). Can see Punk back next week. They need him bad. The tournament they had last night was so poor, theres nobody there that could potentially carry the belt apart from Punk or Cena.

    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
    • Dug into Milkweed some more and this was a brilliant suggestion. Thank you 🙂   This will come as no surprise, but I have been told that there are some band substitutions to come.
    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
