So I've seen the Rise and Fall of WCW.

Apart from Goldbergs interview, its an unsurprising letdown. The second half of the DVD is basically just the Monday night wars DVD. No mention of things like Benoit et all leaving, Ric Flair getting sacked in 91 as champion etc. Such a shame. But we all knew it would be like this.

Buy the book instead...

Summerslam was awesome. Ziggler vs. Mysterio and DX vs. Legacy were both very good and the TLC match was incredible. The WWE Championship match was strangely enjoying. Sure it was an overbooked mess but it was entertaining. Of course Undertakers return was amazing, had me marking out even though I predicted it before the show started.

Watched the first 50minutes, its a bit dull to be honest, it seems if you were an american viewer in the 80's you would like the start of the documentary a lot more, as its a lot about the regions and the tv deals, Dusty goes on for ages, they show very little of the talent, like you said Liam they don't mention Flair leaving or any of the talent switching between shows up until Hogan, which is where Ive just gotten to

Im gunna watch it all though, Im also downloading the rise and fall of ECW cus Ive never seen that, but right now im watching Arsenal v Celtic! [and then Shooting Stars]

The Shockmaster segment was pretty funny, especially with Arn Anderson in the corner scuttling away.

How many times did Gail Kim botch a move in that battle royal?! Good to see Jillian's back.

I'm totally off Raw at the moment though. I just read the results and anything that sounds half decent I watch on YouTube.

How good is Smackdown at the moment?!

Mysterio Vs Morrison for the IC title. Awesome match (albeit obvious winner for anyone who's been paying attention)

Also there was a GDYC sign* in the crowd afterwards

*for anyone unaware "GDYC" is an expression used by IGN's wrestling correspondant to express his disdain for Michael Cole in his very readable weekly round up of the wrestling results - it stands for God Damn You Cole.

I agree it was a good match, Morrison is a great wrestler

But TNA! Angelina Love has been released! I can't believe it! Her work visa from Canada ran out and she hasn't got a new one, how has that happened? theres tons of Canadian wrestlers, I cannot even begin to image how this came to pass, and Angelina Love is a HUGE TNA draw, Im shocked that this has happened, if TNA don't get this sorted and get her back on board id be gobsmacked

Apparently this weeks show was rather good, so I'll check that out later.

Smackdown was a great show this week. Again. CM Punk is the heel of the year. His promo last week was immense.

I was thinking that WWF have booked themselves into a hole with the IC title. I'm sure Dolph was set up to beat Rey Rey and Breaking Point, and now he's facing John Morrison, who should be in a big a big push now Jeff has gone, but he's going to job to Dolph? Or are they going to bury Dolph?

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
