I'm finding it very interesting how people perceive this band. More testament to their diversity of not just sound, but also character and idea.

Its quote odd because I didn't really know what PJ's music was all about until I met Ollie, I had never listened to them but assumed they would be quite like Nirvana (for obvious reasons) but they aren't at all, I find their music much more interesting and uplifting, and I really really like some of the songs I have heard. I'm glad I found out about them before Reading really otherwise I never would have watched them and I never would have booked the Paris tickets.

Of course, I think that I have the true perspective having known them the longest (not to mention being very childish and arrogant about it ).

Oooh I feel so ignorant, I am really looking forward to seeing PJ, but I have only ever really listened to Alive ... can someone recommend some they will probably play at Reading so I can swat up

Does anyone else love 'Smile'? Its quite a simple song but I really love it, maybe not an obvious choice but when I first listend to No Code it was the first song that jumped out at me. Just love the way Eddie sings on it.

Daughter (A more uplifting acoustic sound. Not an uplifting subject)

Better Man (Everyone likes this one)

Rearviewmirror (An outstanding, journeying kind of midtempo rock song, disimilar to the 'big' American sound they're more famous for)

Corduroy (One of their very best. Great lyrics, vocals, melody. A little bit like Rearviewmirror but not really)

You're right about Black Unplugged though. Indeed you very much are. I keep thinking of an Arctic Monkeys Unplugged set when I listen to that these days (festival link obviously).
