Yes, you'll be walking through the camper van field on your way in to the festival from the car park, with nothing to stop you going in for a closer look. There are regular or large pitches, all pretty generous.

If it helps, we go for a large one and just about squeeze a transit van, a 3 man tent and an event shelter between the lines, so they are quite big pitches.

Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.

I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

Not my experience. I've always got the size I paid for.

time of arrival is how far you are from the entrance (as someone usually getting there on Fridays) but there are deffo different sized pitches

I gather the later you arrive the further away from the entrance to the festival you are?

Not necessarily. They seem to fill it row by row. We're usually there really early and some years we've been at the end of the row, furthest from the entrance. It's not all that far really and it means you have a bush to wee in during the night 🙂

    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
    • I dunno - I thought that initially but I'm, reluctantly, edging towards not happening as it stands. Will continue to dig where I can, though.   Re 2028 - I wouldn't be confident. If this is the second time they've tried and it's gone belly up, it could be a case of just write it off.
    • What do you think the lowest price the Weekend tickets for Leeds will hit?    Currently £210 before Twickets fees?   Maybe £140-150? Or less?
