Pukkelpop 2026

Once that most of the big and medium names of the line-up have been revealed, I am very happy with Friday and Saturday. Both days are too packed for me, so I am thinking in going to London on Sunday for All Points East Festival to see some of Pukkelpop names that will clash these days plus AFI & Idles. If I can see bands as Basement or Amyl in London I am sure that this will help a bit to avoid painful clashes in PKP.

Pukkelpop Sunday is not made for me. Neither Main Stage (full of pop) and Marquee/Club/Backyard bands fits in my musical tastes (with a couple of exceptions as Chat Pile or Kurt Vile)

Saturday now became insane for my tastes... I'm curious about the timetable and the clashes.
Friday and Sunday aren't properly my cup of tea but still have many shows I'll attend to.

Very good overall lineup as always.

AFI decided to tour Europe quite late after receiving an offer to play the All Points East festival (Outbreak bookers) alongside Deftones, similar to what they did during Deftones’ UK tour in 2017. Once AFI accepted that contract, they were offered to several late august festivals, including Pukkelpop.

The issue is that by the time that offer reached Pukkelpop, their line-up was already almost finalized for the international medium/big names. AFI is a band that charges a six-figure fee to perform, so investing that amount of money in a late booking when the festival doesn’t really need to sell more tickets doesn’t make much sense. So far, the only festival that has decided to add them to the line-up is Rock en Seine.

My guess is that the most logical scenario is that they will do a short European run and add some headline shows in the UK or maybe in some major European cities. The other possibility is that they lower their fee and some European Fests as Pukkelpop decide to add them to the line-up in their next annoucements.

Personally, I think that if they had decided to tour earlier, they could have been booked by several European festivals, including Pukkelpop. But the impression I get is that everything has been a bit improvised.

don't know where you get your info, but great analysis.

Not a big loss for me. Remember when they were supporting Deftones on the Gore tour in 2017... toward the 3rd show, I was just going late to miss their set:)

Anyways, would much rather pkp invite Health (playing Sziget). Quality stuff, and they'll bring even more diversity in the line-up. Also cheaper (fingers crossed)
Looking at what's available, I don't think there'll be more interesting rock acts, unless there's something new, not present at other festivals yet. Have some more hopes for the Rap/hip-hip presence, lotta good acts around:)

Hmmm, with Tyler The Creator, Denzel Curry, Jpegmafia, Earl Sweatshirt & Mike, New Wave, Ijsland already announced, I wouldn't expect many more rap acts... Maybe just a few smaller ones.

This is what finally happened with AFI. Thanks for the leak!

As far as I know, no new names until May and more than 80% of the remaining artists are from Benelux. All of them are small names but two or three medium sized bands.

I also know that Teen Mortgage are booked for the Backyard and also that they are trying to complete that stage with some female-fronted bands.

So, they finally decided to split the new band announcements into two separate waves.

It also pretty much confirms that they’re actively trying to fill the Backyard with more female-fronted acts. Witch Fever and Maria Iskariot clearly won’t be the last additions in that direction.

Something strange seems to have happened with the Saturday Main Stage as well. I was originally told that Bizkit Park would open it, but it’s odd that they still haven’t been announced. Also, they already have a Hasselt show booked for autumn. So I think it won't happen. I also suspect that a mid-sized international band that was supposed to play after Wet Leg either dropped out or ultimately never signed the deal. My guess is that the festival isn’t going to spend a single extra cent once it is sold out. I expect a Belelux solution for the remaining Main Stage slots on Saturday and Sunday.

Another thing I heard was that President was initially planned for the Backyard and was going to be announced later on because of their appearance at another Belgian festival. But at this point, I’m afraid they’ll end up being pushed to Pukkelpop 2027 instead.

And finally, I’ve been told that Tyler is the most expensive booking the festival has made in years, which could explain the massive presence of Benelux artists across the lineup, even on the bigger stages.
