Very true, I treat myself to one high priced gig a year in the £100+ range (Oasis last year, MCR this year) but most equivalents were £80ish as recently as 2022 (Greed Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer/Amyl) Hella Mega tour as an example which was a ridiculous lineup at that price).

I went to Hella mega (and agreed, bargain. I paid more for Green day and NBT in 2024). For context though, the price was set in 2019. I remember they were trying it on then, and VIP was £570...which obviously didn't shift.

This is why I like foo fighters, could easily charge more and they don't. The Cure as well, Robert Smith is vocal and wont entertain shady practice.

Hella Mega was definitely an anomaly even in 2019 prices. A mental lineup for the money, we’ll never see the like again unfortunately!

Or at least if we will, it'll be substantially more expensive.
