Just seen tickets are on sale next week for this, watching the videos it looks amazing

Has anyone been?

What are the logistics about coming from the UK

Would prefer to travel light and hire a tent there if possible

The website isnt the best for information

Any tips or advice most welcome

TIA

And it is amazing. It was my first time this year and lineup was probably weakest in past 10 years, but Hellfest is something special. You should go if you’re lucky enough to get tickets.

About tents, they have an easy camp but it is expensive and immediately sold out. Check the first post for options and prices https://forum.hellfest.fr/t/camping-easy-camp/9907

I also traveled light and bought tent and sleeping bag in Decathlon in Nantes.

You should follow reddit for Hellfest tickets. Official resale is not working as it should so many people post their private links with tickets to reddit.

Most of the tickets will be available after the lineup release and few weeks before the festival.

Official resale works just fine every year. Do Not try to buy elsewhere, many (MANY!) fraudulent resales happen every year...

And as you said, most of the resale tickets will happen a month before the fest'.

Been to Hellfest since 2016, and always manage to get tickets with the official way 😉

Looking between this and Graspop next year, can you give any pluspoints for hellfest?

Tried for tickets yesterday but didn't come close.

I've done both, and clearly Hellfest stands out ;

not only thanks to the many decorations, but also in terms of organization, really good sanitary facilities, food stands and bars with not too much waiting, very clean site, etc... the bad point in my opinion: the line up, maybe slightly + to my taste at the graspop. But honestly, everything else, .. Hellfest without hesitation

All we know is that Ben Barbaud, the festival's director, wants to get back to basics next year. "Next year, we're going to beef things up and program some undeniable artists," he told us as we looked ahead to the 2025 season .

After two successive editions open to headliners who are more rock than metal - from Foo Fighters to Muse and Shaka Ponk - the director and founder of Hellfest wants to send a clear message to long-time fans: "I've already gathered the programmers to silence this little tune that would say that Hellfest is increasingly looking towards other lands," he confides. "I can understand that some purists feel like they're losing their Hellfest. We're going to refocus."

How easy is it to get resale and when the best time?

out of curiosity , never been to hellfest.

is there any places to stay nearby or you can just camping?

had enough of camping in festivals , guess im getting old lol

The village is relatively small and few hotel options, mostly booked for longtime customers.

They have a system where you can look at offers for rooms/houses in the Clisson village, but the locals milk tourists for as much as they can, sometimes even 50eur/night for the right to camp in their backyard and access to a bathroom. Expect a room for minimum 100eur/night.

Realistically the only certain option is Nantes but that's at least 1 hour away + traffic times, especially at night. Depends if you are driving or booking their shuttles, but it's not easy nor fest. And if you stay until 1AM at the stage, at least until 1.30AM until you exit the fest, likely 3AM in Nantes. The stages open at 10/11AM and usually they have good stuff early too.

Really depends on how much you hate camping and how $ you can afford for it.

Hi all

my first hellfest last year after rip at download for a few years, there’s no comparison hellfest is streets ahead.

and you don’t feel you’re being ripped off

I didn’t get a ticket on the sale day but also didn’t want to risk the resale !, 250 000 wanted 50 000 tickets do the math

so i went through argon events and secured a travel package and ticket from Manchester, worth a look!

ref travelling light , you can as the large supermarket 10 mins from hellfest sells everything you’d need and not at rip off prices and even has 2 days of gigs in its car park

GO !! Its awesome

    • Another note, if I didn't mention the food in the arena for main stage is right at the back. Bands wise they do very well for but as a festival so far they pros are outweighed quite heavily currently for me.
    • On another note for RIP as an event, there is some good things but there are so many things people going to UK festivals would hate and how far behind they are.  Consistent network and water, beer and pretzel like food is brought around to buy in the crowds. Topping up on the wristband is good. The camping and food arrangement is not good, you really need cooking kit. Water points inside the arena are bonkers, water points in camping are a faff unless you are close enough in general camp. Merch stands are crazy. You MASSIVELY need to think about your lidl shop for camping and try and do it so you've one stop. It's definitely worth it getting to a camping shop here, picking up a rolley between your mates and stacking it for the walk back....lidl is cheap though, not hard getting in but Thursday queues getting in and into the camping is mad. You have to register first for a wristband as well leaving any bigger bags behind so pull to a side if only two and do it separately. I was joining a WhatsApp group for solo camp so went with the flow but I've learnt. Had it been me or just two my tent would have been down much quicker.  Big final note, I got a fresh and black 3 man from decathlon before coming and put in bigger suitcase with my airbed and sleeping bag...do this. Take a smaller option for your clothes. If you go to Munich first, book your train to Nuremberg as far in advance as you can....very important!....it hikes crazy. Probably bettee overall for baggage sizes to do BA both ways but you do then need to go back to Munich after too. Use the B&B hotel hbf the night before....its very nice, comfortable, cheap and within 10 minutes of the station which also serves as a transport stop 15 minutes from the registration.  Get up literally like 5am with everything back the night before, shower and go. Transport is free anyway for festival ticket holders during the duration.  Would I just choose to travel in each day and back to a hotel?, on the basis of sleep and getting accommodation cheap enough for 3 nights i might just do especially if I picked the ticket up early enough. It doesn't feel like a festival in a normal sense....unless you are in general yoi have to exit on the paths outside the camping to walk down and in which also applies for getting water so have a stock up. Toilets are in the camping.
