After midnight busyness

First time coming this year. Heard lots about how busy the SE corner is and there are queues to get in. What about places like Glade and Stonebridge Bar after midnight, is it likely we will queue to get in or need to leave headliners early?

There are quite a few options for us for techno/tech house most nights so we can be flexible, but interested in how busy most places are, would they just be busy or queuing to get in?

SE Corner expect queues to get into the area post headliners.Once inside it depends on the venue, generally big queues for NYC Downlow and The Temple. Last year I saw queues to enter Block 9. Depending on who is playing there can be queues for the Levels. No idea about Stonebridge, wouldn’t go near it. Glade and Arcadia are open venues, so no queues as such but can be shut off. I’ve heard there are changes to the Glade arena, so may be better. Shangri La can be a bottleneck and they sometimes hold people at the crossroads coming out of The Common, although there’s changes there this year so hopefully better.

SE corner Is fine in general only thing is not to go there immediately after headliners either go there slightly before they finish or wait a couple of hours then go. The Temple & NYC Download normally have a queue to get it but there the exceptions not the rule stages like IIcon & Genosis are open areas so should be fine. Shangri La is a redo this year so it's anyone's guess.

Stonebridge bar is always busy and requires a queue basically any time of day.

As Skip says Glade & Arcadia much more open. Also lots of dance options in Silver Hayes

There's also Greenpeace but that can get a bit busy.

As a first timer Seeing Arcadia & IIcon for the first time is gonna blow your mind

Thank you. Will be looking Friday at either Stonebridge Bar for Bugged out/Tom Rowlands or Glade Seth Troxler/Damian Lazarus and Sat Glade Richie Hawtin, Meatrack Seth Troxler or Arcadia G Armada DJ Jungle and NYC Downlow Deep Dish... Obviously artist/stage dependent but when people mention queues.... Is that usually 10-20 mins or 1-2 hours/no chance of getting in?

Queues for NYC Downlow can get 1-2 hours long I think, I’ve usually waited for a time when it’s not that bad and only queued 20mins or so.. same with temple. I’ve only queued for about 20mins for that too but I don’t bother joining the queue if it looks long. As long as you avoid the peak post headliner time or any oversubscribed sets it’s all pretty doable.

I'd avoid planning to see specific people within NYC Downlow or The Meat Rack tbh.

The queue can get very long and then they close it. It'll also depend on the level of nonsense around people jumping the queue if that's possible (by knowing the drag queens, pushing in the uncontrolled bit, or passing their moustache through the fence - the last option got killed off last festival).

Ok thanks, want to be relaxed about where we go through the night but obviously have musical preferences. From Clashfinder it shows lots of places shut at 3am is there still lots going on around the site after that other than the advertised sets if we aren't exactly in the going to sleep frame of mind? Also where abouts is Luna situated?

Shangri La but it's new, it's actually not on the map yet

Also beware that the entry to SE Corner can close for a short period around 3.15am/3.30am as people move. That said, there's more stuff competing for attention with SE Corner this year.

I've never had an issue getting into the SEC after 3am.
