Download 2026

If it is LP/LB/GNR that's the weakest Download line-up in years. Absolutely nothing exciting.

Linkin Park are a glorified tribute band these days and Emily doesn't work as a singer.

LB are a decades old novelty band. Don't get how they'd headline your mum's back garden let alone Download.

GNR were a draw in 2018 (I bought my ticket to see them that year) but the set wasn't great and anybody who wants to see them could have gone to their own tour in recent years. Awful booking.

Ah i forgot someone said about them, they just weren't in this update. To be honest I wouldn't care for any of Architects, Callboy or Bad Omens.

I imagine there's a lot more names not 'found' yet that are in tonight's announcement

Guns n Roses, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park are massive bookings. Might not be up your alley, but they're huge.

GnR one of the biggest rock bands of all time. Linkin Park one of the biggest nu-metal bands of all time on a comeback tour and their first Download for 11 years, also one of the first chances to catch them in the UK in that time frame where tickets are readily available from the off. Limp Bizkit just had their first no.1 EVER, they're more popular than ever.

Even if it isn't your thing, it is objectively very good, and I think it'll sell really well.

Everybody has had an opportunity to see GNR between 2018 and now and many of us left a bit disappointed from our experience. Rebooking them is madness.

Linkin Park aren't the Linkin Park most of us remember and loved and have been booked on name value alone.

Limp Bizkit are an awful band and shouldn't be headlining any serious rock festival.

This is such an "I'm more important than everyone else" post.

It isn't objectively bad bookings, it just isn't to your tase. You aren't the be all and end all.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
