I think internationally Raye and Fender are on a very similar level, but in the UK Fender is obviously huge.

The Sunday did have Coldplay/Vampire Weekend doubling up last time though.. and also a strong undercard.

On subject of coldplay, was it known or rumoured before the event last year that they would be playing, or was it genuinely a big surprise on the day? I wasn't following last year as I didn't plan to go..

Yes Fender is much bigger here. I don't think it'll be someone Coldplay size but I mean even the female options mentioned aren't selling Wembley 10x, especially within 3 years of doing multiple nights there before.

Last minute thoughts :

it’s almost certain that wet leg will be main stage sub headliner (like blossoms).

I also think Sigrid will be on it - she’s playing in Warrington on the Saturday and got the Sunday free.

also clean bandit like to pop up now and again at big weekend and could see them there too.

Am expecting the last headliner to be female but not an absolutely huge name . Tate McRae possible but unlikely as she would be playing 3 nights non-stop. Charli has a completely free schedule with no shows , so I think it could be her . Of course it could be a complete surprise, if it was a wild card like Florence & machine as an exclusive that would be my ideal situation but it’s pretty much impossible.

Doubt it'll be Charli as she played last year

I'm starting to wonder if its Calvin

There wasn’t anything to suggest it’s definitely a female headline , except for the outrage on social media regarding a lack of female names.

I could 100% see a pop (mainly female) day thats actually headlined by Calvin I could see that work.

    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
    • I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.   There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
    • Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever.    I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.
    • I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility    It would feel like a bit of waste for their first set in the UK for 12 years be an hour and 10 mins as a sub    A lot of people will buy day tickets just for FNM
