Any clashfinders? 🙂

Not as yet. Usually the App updates a few weeks before hand. But often some fine tuning and minor alterations are made right up-to the gates opening. Clashes tend to be minimal though, especially amongst the "bigger" (for lack of a better term) artists as the main two outdoor stages alternate. Tends to be the acts distributed amongst the tent and third outdoor stage where I always have to juggle a few inevitable clashes.

That said, one of the brilliant things about Pinkpop, is the layout and how easy it is to move amongst stages and the generous space. UK and other festivals I attend, I often find myself in queues and people-jams when moving between stages, which to date - has never been an issue at Pinkpop. So, it's easy to catch a half/half if a clash is really tough to deal with. 😄

Thanks. I figured that main acts won't clash, but I wonder about the Saturday, in which I don't care for most of the bigger names (out of the first 10 names on the poster, i only hope to see the academic and amyl) and prefer to catch some smaller acts (like almost Monday, soft play, the royston club).

Anyway, I'll be patient. Sure it will be great nonetheless. Thanks!!

Adam Lambert has cancelled touring plans. Pinkpop have a replacement, but can’t be confirmed until day/s before the festival. When that’s requested, it usually means someone prominent on another festivals lineup.

I'm not that optimistic. Adam wasn't listed at the top of the bill to begin with, why would he be replaced with a big name?

But if your prediction is right, and we're keeping the expectations reasonable (not a headliner sized act), my fingers are crossed for Bloc Party (from the DTRH lineup) or maybe Vampire Weekend / London Grammar (from LL).

I don’t mean a “huge” name. I just mean it’s usually, someone booked on another festival in a meaningful slot. Occasionally, the contract / nature of the booking can require that the artist can’t be announced for a further festival until that slot has completed. Exclusive or other clauses and such. So, they fulfill that slot or be kept on the lineup as a special guest until able to confirm. Likely be a middayer from Werchter / Hurricane and Southside. Again, I’m only assuming. But, if they could announce them, why would they not. So, reasonable to expect it’s someone tied to another festival for now.

Another cancelation (Shaboozey), but this time with an immediate replacement announcement.

Makes the mystery act (replacing Adam) even more mysterious.

Yeah - I suspect it's someone on the Hurricane / Southside line-up that can't be confirmed until after.

Time table is out! For the first time in my 8 years of attending festivals, I don't have any clashes. At all. A FOMOless festival. Wow.

Korn and Purple Disco has done me dirty haha. Although, I've never been impressed with Korn when seen them previously and super stoked to see Purple Disco in the tent. One of the best at what he does.

Confidence Man and Weezer also a bit of a shame, so I will likely do a 50/50 split.

Is the 17:00 - 18:00 slot, on North / South stages Saturday. The equivalents on Friday / Sunday has Mika and Kaiser Chiefs covering it. So, you'd assume the act has the potential to be a pretty solid (fun) late afternoon addition to the card.
