IDF fighting Hamas again in N Gaza where they thought they had removed them. They can't win this, Hamas too smart..unless they just destroy everything and kill everyone.

Given how the Iraqi troops in Iraq all vanished and then kept popping up everywhere for 10 or more years and then formed other groups is the IDF thought they could get rid of Hamas then they ignored history.

netanyaho  is in a spot, if he say what hes going to do he'll get slaughtered, and if he doesn't  say what he's going to do  he's criticised for not saying.

well yeah, I guess 68 borders...but it is all symbolic at moment anyway. This may become part of the carrot/stick negotiations with both parties towards a two state solution, if they ever get to the point of a ceasefire and talks to ever start...with more countries agreeing to recognise Palestine if they agree to whatever. Then the trouble will be getting Israel to agree to it, need more moderate people in charge, not the maniacs like at the moment.

its a symbolic reignition, not a recognition of substance, it doesn't progress anything with the issue.

I guess they think it might get things moving, that's the idea...because nothing else is working.

anything which is saying to the Israeli's that  they have to lessen their security is not going to be a runner. Unsurprisingly, security is of huge importance, and shouldn't be ignored Israel won't allow an independent Palestine to have the features of a modern state, because they put Israel at risk, and its not like this is Israeli paranoia. they have good reason  to fear what Palestine might do if given the freedom to operate like a modern state (build and train & arm, an army & air force ?). invite the Iranian military to set up some bases.
