guypjfreak
So my daughter is going to be arriving wed to join the madness of the first few days.. Then the kids 3 in all are going to dropped off on Fri afternoon. My daughter was hoping to be able to camp in the family field but will they be able to if they can show that they have kids coming up on Friday. I remember last year the steward's were telling this lady that the field was full. That was on Thursday morning so obviously my daughter would like to get in before that happens.. Any info appreciated old sons.
dondo
I believe Cockmill Meadow fills up pretty quickly so not sure whether they'd be able to get in there as would imagine priority as such would be given to those that have kids with them at that point. Wicket Ground the other family camping field by all accounts normally has a decent amount of space all weekend so that may be a better option.
Miathedog
We always camp in Cockmill, with kids, but you can go in without kids, and if you explain they are on their way no one will stop you. However, I think it says in Tort's guide that Wicket does police to no kids aspect more strongly to ensure only families camp there, and it might be harder to get in, though again if she explains they are coming later it would likely be all right. There would definitely be more room in Wicket.
