Any advice for reproofing a poncho?

I've got one of those that they used to sell a while back via the shop at the top - yes there's a shop there if you've never bought anything check it out ;).

It's had a few too many heavy showers and needs it's functionality rejuvenated, so any pointers from successful proofers gratefully received.

The spray you use to reproof tents works fine - well it did on mine. It is now more waterproof than it was new ?

I used this on my husbands waterproof jacket, worked a treat! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nikwax-TX-Direct-Wash-in-Cleaner-100ml-one-use-sample-size-waterproofing-jacket/253899885916?hash=item3b1d9ccd5c:g:p80AAOSwDjFbdX40&frcectupt=true :)

It must have been the poor workman using the tool :)

My brother used to be a carpenter who worked on sites in Birmingham. Apparently a long running joke was to ask somebody to pass them the Black Country screw driver, by which they meant one of these;

Essentially they were saying that the carpenters from the Black Country were shoddy.

It's always tickled me a bit, that one, which is why I decided to share. It's probably just me that finds it amusing though.

Not at all m8y, indeed I've heard the same line but referring to other places - maybe it's one of those jokes that travels and is used to wind up local neighbours?
