On the subject of how things have changed, I found this cool video, listen to the excellent version of Come home from back when James sounded like they did back then and less like the polished act they are today.  This was the James I loved (still enjoy their music, but listen to that beat, that distortion, that lost meandering vocal...)

or this one...lovely stuff, plenty has changed but much we can recognise today (not least the friendly free speaking and constant jaw action of Keith Allen).

They've talked about booking three "live jam" shows when they're writing the next album, where they'll just come on with a few really vague ideas for songs and play around with them for a couple of hours.
