I saw that woman's post!!! Couldn't believe how rude it was

I've typed 3 replies now and just deleted them, it's making me too angry with how rude she was. I shouldn't sink to her level!

Edit: she's deleted her posts

Some people are just bitter! It's a very clever poster, better than anything I could have thought up and it gets the point across.

I wonder whether the person doing all the complaining even entered!

I think people are getting very tetchy now because the opportunities are reducing.  It's not the Glasto way to be critical so it's a bit sad.

At the end of the day, it was chosen and that's that.  It's a catchy slogan with a colourful background that'll attract attention.

Tips/Tricks
Search on Twitter/Facebook/Google 'win festival tickets' and 'festival competition'
If you're entering loads you may want a new e-mail address as many competitions/promoters pass on data or require registration.
Make sure you answer all unknown number or no ID caller calls, don't want to miss out on that important call!
Keep an eye on companies who work with festivals, they often run competitions.
If you want to win tickets to a specific festival try searching on social media 'win Latitude tickets' or 'Latitude festival competition'

It might just be me having a slow day, but it doesn't say whether multiple entries will be counted/advantageous/disqualified?

Not if you are making a donation.... You could ask for it back if you can't enter more than once

Just gets a pay as you go sim for a different number..... As its a txt message comp you could dig out that Nokia 3210 brick.... It might even still have some battery life left in it

You can enter straight away without donating anything, and it mentions no restrictions on either type of entry.

I'm assuming that you won't get disqualified as it's not in t&cs but I won't exactly bother if they simply discount the rest of the entries, aha

So you can enter on someone else's behalf? As it says you will be notified if you win and then asked to provide the attendee names?

Yeah I'd think so. You're not providing names immediately + it encourages other people to make the donation.

If anyone fancies entering for me I will pay in eternal gratitude and whatever other currency people see fit!

competition tickets won't have a photo on them just the name and address of the winner so provided you only use that name when they contact you, I think you could get away with it

but I've never done it so I don't know.

i was asked numerous times when I won a cocacola competition to confirm my name and address before I could claim my prize

Yeah, but a lot of the other ticket competitions specify that you have to enter for yourself, or that you can't enter if you already have a ticket. The wording of the T&Cs for this competition makes it sound like the winner doesn't necessarily have to be the person(s) using the tickets.

Obviously if you were scalping charity tickets for profit there would be an issue, but I'm just talking about entering to try and get a friend a ticket.

What do you think the part about the tickets being "non-transferrable" means - that you can't ask for another prize, or they have to go to the person who owns the phone? I'm happy to enter for someone but wouldn't want any hopes dashed!
