It really was awful. I don't mind a bit of heat because I'm usually cold but every single person on the bus was stuck to their seats, dripping with sweat. It was not good after five days without a shower!

It was nicely topped off by the two hour train I needed to catch home being cancelled due to a fault on the line, which meant I had to get on the rush hour train with a lot of commuters looking at me like I'd.. well.. not showered for 5 days! I think I got home about 8pm, having left the festival site around 9.30am that morning.

Jeez, that would've put me off coach travel. Grim times. You don't need that in a normal journey, but coming back from Glasto with a serious case of the blues, just wanna get home.

Just rechecked my email from last year and I was notified on May 21 of my coach time and sent my e-ticket, so still a few weeks to wait I think.

As for the comments above about the fragrant nature of the return coaches, all I can say is, you should be used to it by then :)

See mailed me back.  TANGIER COACH PARK, CASTLE STREET, OPPOSITE HICKLEYS, TA1 4AU

I was trying to remember the name of the shop - there's a car park just across the bridge off Castle Street - that's where they drop you back. There's also a 24 hour Tesco just down that road for last minute provisions in the morning to be bought before you go.

Cheers, it called Hickleys yeah. All set up now. B&B booked, restaurant chosen. Getting the tent delivered to the B&B. Bring it on!
