I feel extremely let down by this group, my personal integrity has been attacked and I challenge all who down-voted me to a shit mix drinking contest at the Bushy Ground on Wednesday....loser leaves town match!! It's on

Have you got the tour page monitored as well?

I actually took both of them down yesterday in defeat, although I've kept the registration page open.  Text has just come through now.  Maybe my signal wasn't strong enough.  Do I want to go through the agony of resurrecting those pages on my laptop? Hell yeah, why not. They're going back up!

I'm still keeping the faith, although after today and trying and failing to get the oxfam stewarding I just think this may not be my year :(

Thanks for the links to Oxfam. Completed it in a fashion in swimming pool car park with my daughter screaming blue murder for sweets. Could cry as they've announced its over for this year!!!! I had to take the poor child somewhere after devoting so much time on here!

Many honest opinions on how to get there still. Will water aid etc follow in Oxfams style?

So how may do we think were successful with the Oxfam stewarding on this thread? 2 here.

There were 5 available when I got through but they seemingly went in the time I had filled the page out

Not sure check their website.  I emailed Greenpeace.  I've been a member for years and spend time at the area every year so I think it's not too much to ask to be a volunteer.  You never know.

So I can stop refreshing the oxfam page...? :(

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

For the lucky 100 who finally got their places as Glastonbury stewards today - CONGRATULATIONS! And for those of you that missed out, we're sorry, it really was down to luck and speedy fingers this time.
We are extremely unlikely to re-open Glastonbury again, so we hope to see you all at some of the other amazing festivals we're at this summer instead. Have a look at the individual festival pages on our website to find out more about them: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/Stewarding/festivals

Just saw this on Facebook :(

Oh :( I'm so sorry you didn't manage to get them either! If I see anything I'll make sure I pass it onto you as well :)

there seems to be quite a few successful people on here with the Oxfam stewarding. Is everybody working with someone you know? Or are people on there own? Maybe we could have a efestival camp?

I was the only one in my group that didn't get a general admission ticket. I managed to get a steward job today so I will be camping alone. Small price to pay imo

I know the feeling those lucky people had last Thursday, over the moon for myself but feel horrible for those on here who havnt been lucky today with the Oxfam stewarding

Yes I feel the same.
I think I was lucky that the Oxfam system gave my slow brain a chance to read and understand what was going on so that I was ready for the second round of places.

Sorry to everyone who missed out...although it does look like little chances keep popping up for the determined.

Just out of interest, all those that managed to get a stewarding job with Oxfam how much money did you donate ?

I gave 100 pounds, feels like good karma

That's lovely :) I've said if I somehow win tickets and not have to pay for any I will donate the ticket money to charity. It's saved in my account so feels only right.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
