Final Dance Stage Headliner

Recommended Posts

Would LOVE FF to headline that, but probably still too big...havnt done much in recent times but can see them headlining NME off the back of their next album realistically

I think you're overestimating they're popularity a bit there. I think as a dj set a dance stage headliner slot could work

would be a weak headliner TBH - they were heading small festivals after they released Pala....think album no. 3 if it goes down well will see them headline NME.....

if they came back now though, a live show could be pretty good on the dance stage as a sort of warm-up to a comeback...but a DJ set would be weak booking. as I've said before, most of the dance stage headliners have an element of a 'live act' or production with them

Would love it to be TEED...

Actually I wouldnt. The clashes are already a nightmare.

I want to it be Norris from Corrie, Djin. Actually, no I dont- that'd be amazing...

... I want it to be Paris Hilton. I wouldn't go see her.

Ye, Paris Hilton.

Huh? A Friendly Fires live show wouldn't suit the Dance Stage. And would be too big for it.

It would probably work on the dance stage and I don't think they'll be as big as they were when they left off at all. Their new stuff was meant to be way more tripped out and less accessible and stuff so I couldn't see them hitting the same heights - particularly when you compare to Klaxons' comeback.

Obviously don't think it'll be them though. Justin Bieber DJ Fresh is doing Fusion on Friday so that could happen.

Now they're without Alice I think they could do it. Not much of a crossover with Rebel Sound imo

But what you've got to take into consideration is, it was Ethan that started the band; all Alice was, was a vocalist. Now Edith has taken over, from what I hear- vocally she's very similar to Alice and as long as she puts in a similar amount of energy into the live shows, strictly speaking, their size/ appeal/ fan base shouldn't decline. At all.

Rebel sound- as of yet, haven't really demonstrated too much what they'll be like live, yes you can watch their Culture Clash videos, but like Rodigan says, "BBK this is a sound clash, we haven't paid to come to a BBK concert, so ya better come good in round two" (I love his voice) so a culture clash is meant to be massively different to an individual gig, hence why, IMO, they won the battle. RS were the only group where you could distinguish between a live show and their culture clash performance. ASAP MOB for instance did exactly the same show set in Manchester a couple days before... All we do know is, they're going to bring Big Dub/ reggae DnB sounds with the odd bit of C&S/ Shy Fx. I'm actually really intrigued by Rebel Sound. I just hope they do Eastern Jam integrated with Heavy, that was insanely good at Culture clash. I won't be seeing the mystery dance headliner regardless of who it is but I don't think crossover is going to be an issue with RS, as I expect them to cover an array of sounds. (This wasn't really to do with anything other than my its justification for not seeing the mystery headliner... Ha)

On a side note, I would like to see Nina Kraviz and Maya Jane Coles pop up.

She's on this one track, don't take that to mean she's Alice II

I didn't say that... But the likeness in vocals suggests she will be the one performing live so they can play the old CC stuff... Do you not think that?

    • Hilarious to describe this as suprising, for the guy who can't afford to go on holiday, the guy who goes on holiday is rich, for the guy who goes on holiday, the guy who gets 3 holidays a year is rich, for the guy who gets 3 holidays, the guy who stays in 5* hotels is rich, for the guy who stays in 5* hotels, the guy that flies business class is rich, for the guy who flies business class the guy with a private jet is rich etc..   I think one of the greens video's that they put out that went viral, Zacks description of "the rich" covered 12 people in the UK.
