Tipi tents

Presume you need a ticket first to pre book a tipi?

Also what problems?

I didn't have a tipi when there were the complaints. There was a bit of a fiasco with the loos this year, so I mainly used the urinals outside of the field. Not so easy for the girls though.

The only 'problem' was when it rained, it sort of dripped from the poles in a pattern on the floor. It wasn't til the last day that I found out all you need to do is run your finger down the pole, 'encouraging' the rain to run down the length of the pole to the floor at the edge of the tipi. We went back to bed after the Alabama 3 for a rest when 'that' storm hit. It felt very cosy!

Our main problem was that my sisters kids, and their friends, thought it was the best thing ever, and for the first 2 days, every time we wanted a rest, there was some kids asleep in our bed!

The location is so good. And the price. We payed 1400 for a 4 berth camper this year and were 25 minutes from the pedestrian gate. Fuck that!

Last question - are you all on top of each other with 6 people and bags etc or is there room?

Also the thefts in 2013 are a concern....

They beefed up the security this year and I didn't hear of any incidents.

Basically, you're paying for the location and the convenience of not having to cart in a tent first thing on the Wednesday morning to get prime real estate. Headroom aside, it's not really a luxuy option is any other sense - and they do leak.

Have you looked at http://thelovefields.com/dev/thp.php?load=yurtco.thp&page=pitch.html I am pretty sure people in tents can use the showers, and they are close!
