My wife was assaulted by a steward at arcadia on Friday night at the start of the landing show and this was reported to security and police at the time. The festival has taken this very seriously and we have been amazed by their response.

They have sent me a very detailed map of the site to pinpoint the exact location of the attack (that's a strong word but very apt)but I need to pinpoint the location of the speaker stack nearest the cocktail bar and the round hammock and wondered if anyone had any photos of this ?

Thanks in advance.

Employed by the festival or a private firm? If the former, or the latter, speak with Emily Eavis or other at the festival office. These numbers are the festival organisation numbers:

Good work everyone. The Arcadia people will be incensed if it was a security person attached in any shape or form to their event, or near it, so fingers majorly crossed.

I think you are about correct with your red mark. I was stood pretty much right by the speaker stack you mention but didn't see anything - however it was pretty busy in that particular area.

Really sorry to see hear your story and hope it didn't completely ruin your festival.

    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
