Depends what you like and what you're into, I didn't stop for long, but had a nice time up there among the silly nossers on Thursday for about half an hour. Flagtopia is amazing, one of my favourite spots, it provided a nice haven for when the hill at the back of the park became one giant rubbish dump.

Seriously, people, LOVE THE FARM - LEAVE NO TRACE.

Saw a guy there Sunday about 7am passed out on his feet. Said to my girlfriend I'm going to try help him come around. Took a couple more steps towards him and realised he was pissing himself as well. Ridiculous. I mean, I was a state myself but who would possibly want to get like that?

I went up to the Glastonbury sign on the Wednesday in the early evening and the place was absolutely littered with nos canisters already - to say there's less of it there is not true.

I went to the stone circle on Thursday night till the rain got a bit much and Saturday night until a bit after sunrise and didn't feel it was dodgy in any way - actually thought it was better than in some previous years. Yes there was litter there but there is everywhere on site now - some people are just pricks.

Obviously different people can have a different experience depending on when you go and where you sit/lie/fall down but you can't really have an opinion on something having had no experience of it.

We were at the stone circle for sunrise on Monday morning. Quite a nice atmosphere in the middle of the stones with a decent campfire going, drummers, and a great bit of syncopated triangle playing. Bravo Mr triangle man!

Met some nice folks, lots of good chat.

There was also some nutty bloke striding round the fire from time to time, shouting random crap about us desecrating the grave of King Arthur. Very entertaining.

All in all a good session - not a patch on how it used to be back in the day, but a lot better than some visits in recent years.

Went up there a few times over the week and found it to be rather busy.

Why is it busy? Because it's popular.

Why is it popular? Because people feel welcome.

Do people do drugs up there? Yes - drug use has been a long-running feature of Glastonbury festival.

I personally welcome the choice - you've got a choice of a busy or quieter space from the Stone Circle or the Park view.

It's like people want the Stone Circle to be just for them and their interests. Not very inclusive.

Oh and I saw loads of people doing NOS balloons - my respect to those of them who quietly and without fanfare packed them away into binbags as they went.

On the subject of NOS, I heard a lot of people doing it in crowds. First time was last year and didn't experience that, but heard in a few sets I went to, the pshhhh sound was heard. Quite sad, really.

It was horrid on the wednesday.

I really enjoyed it at around 7am going into saturday morning, mist and a fire and bongos and lots of wrecked people chilling happily, that was until a fight erupted near by, and when the two men were pulled apart a couple of friends tried to lay into the dude as well, there was a really nasty punch to the face, it grimmed me out and we left.

Loved hanging out at the top of the park, especially the day I got a hammock.

It was always on the "edgy" side. In the 1990s, when there was a large number of new age travellers [and hippies and similar] at the festival [oh how times have changed, for better *and* worse] it was edgier, but, even then, nothing too much to worry about.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
