Never really spent much if any time in the bars at Glastonbury. Just wondered if its considered acceptable to drink your own booze at something like the Baggy Disco at Stonebridge bar?

Not something I'd ever do at a pub on a normal night out but so used to being able to drink your own booze everywhere at Glastonbury and it looks like it would be so busy it would be a nightmare to get served.

Is the Stonebridge Bar something thats put on by the festival or is it a company paying them for the spot and your doing them out of money if you bring your own booze?

Stonebridge Bar is run by Avalon and they have to pay a huge fee to be there and trading
While many people will assume that bar operators make a fortune their Overheads are huge and all it takes is a bit of bad weather and a net profit can easily turn into a net lose.
Whichever bar you enter if you are occupying seats/tables or space and you are consuming your own drink then the Bar Manager or Security may ask you to leave.
So while some people may assume ' they have the Right to drink anywhere ' they dont.

In reality though, that is highly unlikely to happen if you're happily minding your own business.

The ordinary situation of a group of people taking a seat in, say, Stonebridge Bar or The Bimble Inn or Avalon Inn or the Acoustic Real Ale Bar or the Mandela Bar, some of your group buy a pint or a cocktail, some have their box of wine with them, some have a bottle of Diet Coke (hangover), some buy a lemonade to go with their homemade vodka... You're fine, as long as you're not taking the piss and taking over the entire bar. I mean, if you're sitting in Pennard Organic Vineyard's seating area drinking your cans of Strongbow you're both cheeky and a philistine, but if you're sipping your Skittles Vodka in the Bread and Roses you're probably very welcome!

My experience of this is very much dont take the piss. If you wander past somewhere with something on and you want to go in but your half way through a can then we've always gone in and once finished bought one from there. We did get told we couldn't enter chameleon until we had finished though.
