Hi all,

I’m Tom, I’m new on here, although I’ve been frequenting eFestivals for quite some time.

Firstly, best of luck to everyone tomorrow, fingers crossed! Although with the amount of resales there were this year, I don’t think it would be the end of the world not managing to get tickets tomorrow, although of course it would preferable!

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience buying tickets from another country? The reason I ask is that there some software called Hotspot Shield that gives your computer an American IP address, so I imagine it would direct you through to the presumably less hectic international ticket page, where I would’ve thought you could arrange for the delivery address to be the UK?

There is also a setting on the software for the UK which gives you a different IP address from your connection, so by having one computer with that activated and another without should double your chances as I know normally having numerous computers or tabs open does not having any bearing on your success, it’s all down to the IP address.

Anyway sorry for the essay and any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! J

Drivers/etc isn't a file, it's a folder. Inside that file should be a file named 'hosts'. Double click that and Notepad should open. Then follow the instructions above. If you don't find any reference to 'glastonbury.seetickets.com' you either didn't modify the file last year or have already deleted it (or have restored your computer to a date earlier than October last year).

In any case, if there's no reference to 'glastonbury.seetickets.com' in the hosts file that's a good thing. :)

No it doesn't specifically say credit cards must be linked to an overseas address, but given the list of options I'd say it's the case. So I won't be trying this method.

Sorry if my post was blunt to the point of rudeness, but we get a lot of spam with people promoting services under the pretense of advice or recommendations. Yours struck me as just that, so it's only fair to point out that many, many other proxy services are available.

Purely anecdotal, but a friend of mine is trying to book her tic from Berlin every year (genuinely, she lives there), and never gets anywhere near the booking page before it sells out. Except in the years of relatively slow sales, and even then I got through before she did (from London).

It took you straight to either Wednesday or Thursday once you stopped queuing instead of to the page to select Wed/Thu.

Basically cut out one page, but shouldn't have too much difference as only one 1 type of tickets are on sale.
