I truly hope that ANYONE from 'here' who sees the Berkshire flag (my adopted county...my first real home for years after the last 5 years+ of turmoil) feels they can come and join us and enjoy some time together. I'm not a hardcore 'flagger' we use it for meets and toilet break-re-finding!

But i'm willing to give anyone from the FB Group my festival mobile number if they wanna meet up.

(I've got 2 cheap mobiles i take)

I wasn't planning on it...but Matt...i have been to - i still need to work it out, but about 8/9/10 GFs now and NOT ONE SINGLE PLAN has ever worked out.

It takes some real discipline to do so...and can be done...but that place just sweeps you up and you go with it...it's truly fucking bizarre...like nothing else on earth...and even if you still don't 'work to plan' you'll have an amazing time!

I'm almost jealous dude!

We have some absolute definate stuff and other desirables......... John Newman is a tricky one - Saw him at the O2 in Bristol and had a fab night. Mrs M wants to see him but I fancy seeing Drenge.

I have promised her I will never leave her alone cos she is worried by large crowds!!!

Meggy Woff can also barely bring herself to look at the maps / satellite - zoomable maps!

It really is fine once you are there though. SO many stewards / campsite stewards / people to help.

A couple of laps on the first day and you'll get a general feel for your way around when sober.

Me, Meggy and Simmo are gonna do a full lap on Weds and Thurs with beer, food, interesting musical diversions and other stuff stops on the way.

Feel free to join us.

WoffyWife is quite shy but actually keen to meet everyone too.

And any of the FB group can phone / text if they need 'rescuing'...i'll be there as long as i'm not watching someone i NEEEEED to watch!

*Return of the (totally optional) NFR NFC Bump Quiz:

- What book - if any - are you reading at the moment?

- What book would you take to a desert island with you (i.e. so not necessarily your fave book, but let us know why you'd take it)...

BUMP!

    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
    • Been last time in 2018 when the festival was happening in parque Bela vista. ls the new location good for such a big festival? What's the temperature in the evening near Tejo? Should we bring a raincoat or a jacket?
