We're a bit foggy, but a cup of tea should help...

The Gods are obviously saving themselves for June..

Morning!! My fingers aren't awake yet, I took 3 goes at spelling "morning"....

Relatively nice down here, not sure if the air is a bit grey due to the dust or not! It's been quite warm too, which is nice :)

I'm loving the food thread, makes me want to take less naughty things! Shocking!

We've got an 8 week old puppy, so if being woken up in the night counts, I can give three trips outside to the loo between midnight and seven am as an offering!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

I'm afraid I had forgotten a bit about your job situation Yoghurt. A few days off sounds like a good plan. And I'm sure once you get cracking with the wedding plans the list will soon go down :)

It's going OK thanks. I've allowed myself to have a few days off before dealing with a load of personal admin and wedding related stuff. However, from tomorrow onwards I've really got to pull my finger out. I've drawn up a list of things to do and it's mind blowingly long. I am also now having to pay out for the majority of the wedding related stuff, so am trying not to cry with the cost of it all.

We had a call from one of the places we were going to stay at on our honeymoon to say it's been severely damaged in the storms / floods relatively recently. They say we can no longer go there but have offered us alternative venues. It's a shame because I chose that part of the honeymoon and was really looking forward to it. Never mind, we'll find somewhere else.

So, I'm going to have a doss today but then it's work, work, work.

As I told CJ this morning, we thought about it, but I'm put off by having to go out with boiling water at 7am to defrost their bowls and mucking out the coop.

Our neighbours have about 20 between 3 families, so I just pay £1 for 6 fre range eggs, simples.

They are really good for cleaning out your greenhouse though.

We are going travelling around Cornwall, Devon and possibly Dorset in our campervan. In addition we had booked two buildings to stay in. The first we can still go to and is an isolated cottage with its own beach. We are staying there straight after the wedding for a week, so really looking forward to that. The next place we were due to stay was also an isolated building in a forest but unfortunately we can't stay there now. Never mind, it'll just mean more time in the campervan cruising around wherever we choose to go to. Can't wait.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
