The only really different thing I noticed was the litter in the green fields on thursday and that there were a lot of nongreen field people sat around up there which of course is great if they are bing engaged but they were just sat around in the healing fields, drinking cans. Thats quite unusual, its normally pristine up there. By the time I was having my massage it had cleared out though with the rain.

My first time going. I thought the litter was awful - particularly in some of the campsites. Toilets were fine - the work involved in keeping them fine was evident. Didn't see much pissing outside the toilets, but amazed how easy it is to have a completely different experience to other people - we were camping in Baileys - pretty quiet, civilised, relatively spacious, and the conditions elsewhere looked like another world. Also surprised at the amount of Scousers about - not a problem, just seemed like 20% of the voices around the site were from Liverpool. Only moment of tetchiness for me was in the queue for the SE corner on Friday - a couple of young kids (I'd say 17?) tried to bunk past in the staggered railings area and I went all Clint Eastwood on them (having mulled over my attitude to some previous queue jumpers, and decided that it was a bad thing). One of them muttered something about my getting on like their dad, and it turned into a discussion about whether I was just a bit F1 fixated, or whether queue bunking is just the behaviour of a w*nker. In all honesty, I probably over-reacted. Pretty small pickings overall - the shoving through business wasn't that bad, but then I managed to avoid a lot of the bigger stage gigs. Biggest low standard issue for me was my feet and legs. Managed to end up effectively crippled by Saturday night and had to forego The Correspondents in the Bimble Inn, as I literally couldn't walk, let alone dance. Not sure what that was about.

I think the Festival's 'Babylon' divide was as wide as ever, depending whether you went east or west, you got a totally different experience. However the good news was more people in the east areas. The good thing is the east's 'nice Festival vibe' has moved further down from what used to be the divide at the railyway line with only the areas immediately around Silver Hayes, west of the Pyramid and at times around the John Peel feeling crowded, and full of 'don't give a toss about anyone else' festival goers, where I tend not to have such a nice experience, and it feels more like what I imagine V is like.

We noticed a bit more stupid behaviour this year, groups of youngsters holding hands pushing through the crowds etc and generally behaving like dicks.

I was watching Bobby Womack on the Sunday night and two Herberts were play fighting and barged into my back,I said wtf are you doing and one of them squared up to me.I do not want to get into a fight at Glastonbury or anywhere for that matter, luckily it came to nothing.

That's the first time I have encountered any potential violence at Glastonbury.

I think there was a lot more idiots this year,I hope its better next year.

I saw quite a few dicks this year and have to say Fat Boy Slim at Arcadia was full of them, I wanted to go for a pee and being polite asked people could they let me through someone turned and said "just piss where you are, its easier" he got a mouth full of abuse.

also there seemed to be so much more coke then last time! like everyone was snorting something...

I can't say anything about the crowds, I had no problems with the main stages, saying that I only saw Arctic's and Kenny Rodgers on Pyramid,

but I walked through the Pyramid field after stones and it was horrendous, I have never seen anything that bad in my life, I was horrified... it wasn't just the bottles it was chairs that had just been taken and left, if you're not going to keep it just take it to a bin!

and NO2 canisters now thats a different story, they have to be the worse things in the world!

Over the five years I've been going to glasto I completely agree that there has been some glimpses of lower standards and I don't think it can be blamed on age.

The group I go in range from 24-27 and we don't have the 'I don't give a shit' attitude.

I was SHOCKED at the amount of rubbish after the stones. I walked passed the pyramid around 7am and couldn't believe it. Ill upload a picture later if I can.

During Portishead about 20-30metres back lots of people just talked through the set and quite loudly may I add. One girl even pushed passed us, turned her back on the band and chatted to her friends. Well played to the person who shouted shut up!

When the band finished a group of about five girls barged passed this older gentleman nearly knocking the poor guy over!

Saying this, there were moments of true glasto spirit and I still had a great festival.

    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
