Driving down from Bristol, want to park in the West car-park

A friend of mine is driving down from Bristol on Tuesday night, he wants to park in the west car-park and was wondering,

does he take 'route A': http://goo.gl/maps/ZBAEr which goes straight down the A37 through Shepton Mallet and turns right onto the A361

or

does he take 'route B': http://goo.gl/maps/frQuP which turns off the A37 just after Farrington Gurney onto the A39 through Wells, turning left at Glastonbury onto the A361.

Route A's quicker, but is there a risk of being shepherded into the east car-park!? If so, is route B the way to go?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I could only find info regarding coming from the south. Thanks in advance!!

I'll just point out that how you've worded this is not how the roads actually are.

If you are going 'route A', then you actually have to turn left just after Farrington Gurney to stay on the A37 towards Shepton.

If you are going 'route B', then you go straight on towards Wells - because the A37 turns into the A39 when the A37 turns off leftwards towards Shepton.
