I hope their is a indie or just a disco at Weston this year on Friday as I loved it two years ago and would like to see a film afterwards or another thing to kick start the festival or it will be very boring that night especially on my own!

The only silent disco's I saw were the ones in the Carling tent, maybe V are doing separate ones. The Arena showed 2 films after the Indie Disco in the Arena, but not all night. I dont know about the village bit, I just know some of the arena was open but I didnt know it was called the village.

MTV Club DJ's doing the disco at Hylands starts at 7pm this year for anyone wanting to go to that

Yes they had a silent disco the Friday night in the Carling tent, but by the looks of it, its now in "the Village".....So still not clear what the difference is going to be this year. Everything that they have stated is in "the Village" have been there in previous years, for Weston. Looks like Hylands is getting the better end of the stick with Dj's!!

It depends what you class as all night....2 films can last up to 5 hours easy, and if they start at 1am...well you do the maths.

Suppose we will have to wait and see!

  • 2 weeks later...

Even though I go every year, I still can't remember when the tickets start to get despatched? I know it says 2 weeks before on the confirmation, but a couple of my mates, said last year, they had them 4 weeks before???

Anyone else had them that early?

Thanks x

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
