WOW

Please make this end before I claw my eyes out

WELL SAID

Shall we get back to V Festival discussion....??

WELL SAID

Is there any chance of my Miles being there?

Please <3 Although doesn't he usually follow round Turner :(

What about pop bands like the vamps. Dont want to see them really but they are a crossover I guess

no

when neil said bands he will not have meant the vamps. they might be playing but no.

Hope you are all set for a high Paolo Nutini spot :)

YAY

So it's two hours before the big announcement and am I right in saying pretty much everyone is still in the dark?

YEP

Well, my headliner prediction is now as follows:

Main Stage Headliners:

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE/JAY-Z co-headline

SUB: Pharrell Williams

- The Killers... But I still edge towards Coldplay

MTV Stage:

David Guetta

Ed Sheeran

I have no clue on The Arena...

the fuck did you get Pharrell and Guetta from? :P

Neil said that it is looking promising for V rebuilding their rep as a credible festival but did say JT is there. Killers were apparently good at IOW but I arent bothered about seeing them. Jay Z would be good to see but thats more because of his rep rather than my interest in him

Not long to wait now, hope there's enough variety to keep most people happy.

I'm after some oldies for me - stranglers, specials, BAD

Something corney for the wife - bananarama, Tom jones

Some indie for daughter - Cribs

Some pop for daughters friend - JT will do

Not too much to ask for, tickets already bought so will make do whoever is on

So it's looking like;

Justin Timberlake

The Killers

Kaiser Chiefs

Rudimental

Chic

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Bob Seger

Lorde

Are all for definite

Lorde? Kaiser Chiefs...? Where did you get these from aha?

V's Facebook has been posting hints for a while now, one was 'team' suggesting Lorde, one was a headress suggesting Kaisers

I really don't think they meant anything. I'm wondering if Lorde will even be doing festivals this year anyway, doesn't seem to have been announced for anything at all in Europe so far, I think?

They seem a bit too random to be coincidental?

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
