Getting In

I know this has probably been asked numerous times but what were peoples experiences getting in different gates. The past few times i've been through Gate A but generally got there at about 10 on the Wed. Going for the Tuesday night now and was going to head for Gate D but heard it took ages last year to get in. Heard from someone that Gate C on the other side wasn't too bad.

Where are other peoples plans?

It seems to be pot luck, depending a lot on traffic to the site. I arrived at gate A about 1-ish in 2011 and queued for about 60-75 minutes. I noticed in another thread that someone had got there about an hour earlier and was met with a minimal queue. So it's anyone's guess really. You can bet if everyone says a particular gate was quiet when they arrived last time, it'll be rammed this year!

I parked up about 6am in 2011 on the weds morn by ped-gate D and once the gates were open we were in within about 30mins. As Musky says, its all completely random, just pick whichever gate is closest to your favoured camping spot!

ive been having the same thought after speaking with some one the other day.

He got there mid morning last time and hardly qued, where as his mates had gone down really early that morn but only actually got in about half hour before him as they had just been queing all morn!

its just a lottery. lets just hope that the Gate D stuff from last time has been looked at / rectified (if possible)
