DJ Sets?

OK I get it when I see a Pendulum DJ Set or Chemical Brothers DJ Set, but recently seen line-ups with the likes of Paloma Faith, JLS and now the Horrors doing them. What do they mean exactly now?

it's literally what it says on the tin. members of a band / a full band doing a DJ set. seems to be pretty common practice amongst many indie bands to have an interest in DJing these days. some better than others, obviously. i believe The Horrors are known for being pretty damn good

Yep. Just band members cashing in on their fame from been in a band. Some can dj some can't. All have a load of groupies hanging around the dj box. Nice work if you can get it

Yeah as the above says generally a band member playing tunes - having said that he guy from Folas (Edwin perhaps?) is a decent DJ and also produces his own music with someone else as Deep Shit - pretty decent house music if thats your thing - so I will be tempted to go check out the Foals (DJ) set.

Yeah Jamie XX is insanly good, I hadn't even realised he wasn't on the line up? Maybe the special guest at the Beat Hotel on the Sunday? I know that Romy (who is also a decent DJ) played on that stage in 2011.

would seem like a weird missed opportunity if he didn't play at all so i'll assume he's one of the Special Guests / TBA's on the lineup
